I think this is just another example of a country not wanting to accept crypto currencies who are decentralized. The countries are all developing their own crypto currency. Like in Europe, Chine and America. It will be just a replacement of the fiat coin.

I do not think it is similar to bitcoin since it is impossible no one can compare to bitcoin nor the other cryptocurrencies that are also popular cannot reach bitcoin or even if they are similar it is impossible to create a cryptocurrency similar to bitcoin.

I don't understand what you mean with similar to Bitcoin. Why wouldn't they use Bitcoin instead? Bitcoin is decentralized, is India planning to create a decentralized crytpocurrency like Bitcoin and for what reason? It will probably be under their control and no different to internet banking.

India should allow cryptocurrencies and then think of making some form of digital currency. I think they just want to copy China this way and I don't think it will be possible to have such system in India. People will need more freedom and better money than a controlled by state money given in digital coin.

I am not very sure if a government coin will help them. How will this help? The government can still print more digital coins as much as they want and it will be worse as they can stop transactions and block wallets since it will be run by the government.

If they plan to make a cryptocurrency similar to Bitcoin then they will keep trying for ten years until they found there is nothing similar and what they created is nothing better from what they had already, so they should just adopt Bitcoin instead and stop wasting resources for nothing.

Every government is now thinking of switching into a digital currency and want to abandon the cash system that is not working at all. The reason is only one. Taxes. And the system wouldn't work if taxation was paid by the rich in the first place, so I am expecting these efforts to be blocked by the highest level of the pyramid scheme.

Good for the Indian government as they need more planning with their fiat currency and maybe making it digital will help them. Bitcoin of course is something very different and you are very mistaken if you think that a government issued token will have any similarity with Bitcoin.

I am feel so proud for India, it is a big country with proud people that it is need to have they own bitcoin and be look after it, store it and try to make the price go up with hodl it. I am hope it will be fixed supplier too like that Bitcoin and maybe make it small supply perhaps give one to every populate and let them know this is it, they will not make more but have only one digitel Rupee.

From how I see this, it will be an attempt to create something similar to the chinese digital currency that is a central bank digital currency. I don't see a government creating a national currency similar to bitcoin for many reasons this is impossible.

This is a good development  I think thesame scenario will apply to other countries all countries will tends to build their own digital currency but Bitcoin will serve as a general currency but every country will have it individual coin.

This won't successed (or let me say, this won't be a cryptocurrency) since they will try to make a centralized coin, while bitcoin and other altcoins are built to be fully decentralized and no one will have control over it.

I think that world governments should implement their own cryptocurrency and that cryptocurrencies have the benefit of increasing according to demand and that there is a market through which it will make much more use of the asset, so it is great news that India is opening way to cryptocurrencies.

What good news, let's hope all countries implement this type of ideas and execute them since it is necessary for each region to have its own cryptocurrency and thus support a possible fall in the value of fiat money since this is evident every day with respect to the price of American dollar.
