Governments are afraid that their people will be free, think if 50 very poor people in a small town invested money in bitcoin and 2 years later all 50 people in that small town would become very rich. What false promises would the government lie to these 50 people? these 50 people would know how a city should evolve and would not accept false promises

The governments have every reason to be afraid not just for the impressive values of coins like Bitcoin but the fact, it handed back to the people the freedom, they the government stole from the people long time ago and now the people are wiser. Cryptocurrency is a revolution and it just got started.

Government ristricted using bitcoin and crypto currency because of volitile price that many newbies don't understand and think this is a gambling . That's why government like china banned this so that no one become victim again by those hackers/scammers (ico and ieo)

The government is not legalizing fully crypto currency because the do not have a direct control on the money of their people if we use crypto currency. They don’t have any benefits when this happens.

They fear that we may abandon they local currencies and make use cryptocurrency.

Yes i think you are right. governments of many countries have banned the trading of crypto currency this is because of the reason that crypto currency is digital currency and the economy of these  countries does not support selling and buying of bitcoins and crypto currency.

Every country and government want to protect their local currency, and aside the rising value of crypto currencies, many illegal transactions are been carried out using crypto currencies, so most government use this as a reason to ban crypto in their country.
