Recently the price of altcoins is 0.020$ and if more people invest and purchase these coins and hold for few day then price goes up if the purchases made on high stages. I think that is depend on the supply your coin. Let's take example about Bitcoin, it is have limited supply around 21 Million, so that is normal the price Bitcoin is expensive. But if you comparing with Dogecoin, it is don't have supply limited, but it is created to be unlimited supply, so for long term what i think is not good. Because some people will have many Dogecoin in same time then want sell it, but the demand i see not much or atleast same.

The other factor to effect the price increased is by trust, volume, marketcap.

First you have to clear that which coin you are holding .After that check the project and read all road map and whitepaper coin is good and team is working its depend on project that coin hit 1$ or not.

Its depends on the value of the coins in the market, I advise you to buy and hold only profitable coins such as bitcoin core, bitcoin cash, etereum, litecoin . Do not invest in non sense coins you will end up disappointed.

As far as I know it takes a long time for it to get to 1dollar. Maybe 1-5years or maybe more. But you can't also say it. Everything depends on the market conditions.

Depending on the dev project, if their project is good, it promotes appropriately, the total supply of coins, the current price of ICO / IEO and places their coins on large exchanges such as binance.  Then the possibility of prices to go up does not require a long time 👍

Depend their development program and promotion to get popularity. Developer need both to increase value and volume at the same time. All coins have different goal and strategy, some of them really avoid high value to make powerful system first, that's great plan.

I hold alot of coin for a long time and did not reach one dollar. Anther coin I bought it below 0.4 dollar and hold it for just 3 months and it reach 1 dollar.

depend of which coins are you talking about, because some of them will never reach 1$. let's take dogecoin for example, this coin will never hit 1$ because has and infinite supply and his project is not strong (it's born to be a meme coin)
