Yes that is right. The other factor is the supply. Until now Bitcoin is still the king because the supply is fixed on 21 Million. So the miner can only mining Bitcoin with their hardware and get decreased reward this year. With small supply that is will leading the price that coin going up. But when the supply is unlimited sure will make the price decreased time to time.

Yeah the value of crypto currency are affecting due to the movements on the market like the whales manipulate the value of a coin. There was no rules about it so we should not panic and control our feelings on all the movements in the market.

Yes..cryptocurrency having some rules to be follow by everyone..and there is limit in the quantity of any cryptocurrency.as bitcoin is about 17millions in the volume /qunatity..like every cryptocurrency have some limited volume .

Value is different with supply and value can determine supply but supply can't do that. bitcoin have more crowded network and the block is more difficult to break. Ripple doesn't have that, supply can stop anytime and burn when fails but the value should keep going.

The theory is supply must more higher than demand ( value ) but in reality value is more important than supply. We can see many coin fails and abandon because can't reach their positive value. There's no theory in market, only buy in bottom and sell on the top.

I agree with the OP, the total supply of coins influences the price of the coins. So the coins that have a lot of supply, the price will be low compared to the coins which are few in number.
