I think there is no connection with the points we earned and reputation points,it only shows that there are some members who like your posts.

I don't think the reputation is worth anything, I usually use it to differentiate the exceptional posters from the spammers but the reputation system at the moment is quite unreliable as people are free to give likes and spam reactions to anyone with only a daily cap and some people abuse this system.

Reputation doesn't depends upon the rank, rank increases by the comments and your posts and reputation increase when the users like your post which states that whatever you post contains valuable content and users are also liking it.

reputation gives the site members when your post useful to the members and we have good value in the site and members follow and gives first references to read our post but it is not effects our earnings but my honest opinion is site admin do something to gain good reputation in the site members like give some extra rewards gives those members who have good reputation points in the site

In crypto talk forum ,the ranks are used in order to know and understand which individual joined and are actively participating in the forum posts, view the posts counts of the individual , where people can view them ,follow the senior members and  seek knowledge and ways to post on the forum by following each and every post of the member.

Reputation points only reflects how other members like your posts or comments ,it has nothing to do with earnings or ranks. But reputation counts is actually non sense now coz even how good or bad your post was,its still depend on other member's "mood" they just give reaction whenever they want to with considering if it is really useful or interesting.

They ment to help people to know who is spammer and who makes good content, as when you have high reputation people will trust your posts, because only when help people you will get positive reactions.
