Have you ever think that Eth will overtake Bitcoin?

Since from the acception of bitcoin existence no order altcoins that has been able to overthrow the position of btc on cmc based on your speculations and prediction do you think Etherum will overthrow btc position on coinmarketcap could that be possible, let me know your opinions.

Sometimes ETH beats bitcoin in terms of market volume like what happened some days ago in Yobit but it has never been able to dethrone bitcoin in terms of price and market cap. Although ethereum is more functional than bitcoin and can be used for developing new altcoins but I don't think it can beat bitcoin easily. It may overtake bitcoin in the future but that thing doesn't happen soon. Ethereum network needs more high value altcoins to proceed and extend its network. There is already high demand for some altcoins and if this trend keeps going on, ETH may dethrone bitcoin. But bitcoin is already way ahead of ETH and it is too hard to reach the level of popularity bitcoin has achieved during all these years.

No it will not .But i don't see them like a  rivals. Crypto is one industry  both can support each other

Maybe you were reading about smart contracts for bitcoin they will be ethereum based

If i compere bitcoin to eth then i can say that Bitcoin is most secure coin from all blockchains currently available on market

I don't think Ethereum will outperform Bitcoin. Because Bitcoin is so old and popular. Its price rises but Ethereum can never discount Bitcoin. Bitcoin prices will rise further than what is there now. And it is likely to outperform the market.

I initially thought that ETH would outperform Bitcoin but I now realize that Bitcoin will never exceed ETH. Bitcoin prices will always be higher, and when ETH rises, prices will rise much higher than Bitcoin.

I think this is not possible because bitcoin is the king of crypto and also the ethereum is one of the altcoins and this altcoins are depending only to the bitcoin in terms of price.

If you are going to base it on statistical data and historical data of the exchange rates, clearly ethereum has been struggling to keep up with bitcoin.

There are over 108 million Eth circulating right now, which is way more than bitcoin.  So if you're talking about cmc as the standard, it is quite possible Eth could become #1 if its price got high enough.

 

That would *not* mean that Eth is the better coin however, and that's why I think people shouldn't use market cap as the only metric when evaluating coins and how good they are.  A lot of that depends on how many coins are circulating, and many have hundreds of millions if not billions in existence.

It won't be possible, the crypto market is under the dominance of bitcoin and I think this dominance will still be long. Ethereum in my opinion has a setback in the development of their platform.

It maybe replace bitcoin if they are successful on this new hard fork they are doing; if ETH can make faster transactions then more people will use it.

It is not impossible that Bitcoin can outperform ETH. I think this coin will increase a lot in the future, and like Bitcoin, everyone will use this coin. Yet the number of people using ETH is high.

I think that ethe is very dependent on btc. whereas btc is not regulated by anything. it is likely ethe will still be there and btc will be the same. they are the best coins today.

We never know what will happen in the future but from the history of the creation of Bitcoin and how the process was accepted in the community I don't think it is possible Ethereum can take over BTC

There is always the probabilty of eth overtaking btc because eth has alot more features than btc does. What btc got is just the international fame. Almost everyone has some idea of what bitcoin is but not much people outside the cryptoworld knows about ether.

It is impossible because bitcoin is above everything else even in technology, support, and achievements bitcoin is number One that is why no one can take the position of bitcoin.

If you are going to use comparative data analysis with the statistics and historical data of the two, you can see the difference with regards to their value in exchange alone. Perhaps other factos ethereum might overthrow bitcoin sooner.

That is hard to fight with Bitcoin to get the rank number one in cryptocurrency.

Because the marketcap and volume Bitcoin is more high than Ethereum.

But i ever think like this, if someday Eth can beat Btc what happen? After thinking multiple times. I don't see any reason ETH can beat BTC, because Bitcoin is already know cryptocurrency.

Every exchanges is always ready with pair coin for Bitcoin. But for ETH pair is still little, that is will make different in marketcap and volume. Because trader will choose what trading pair they see.
