Are users allowed to use VPNs while connected to the forum?

I'm just curious if we are allowed to use VPN services while connected to this forum? Or are VPNs prohibited?

I don't think VPNs are prohibited, because many of the members here use these networks on a daily and normal basis in their work and I don't remember reading in the forum rules that these networks are prohibited.

In my guess I don't think vpn is illegal here, but I was wondering why should anyone use VPN in this forum?? All members are the same, but if because poor connection then fine, vpn is not prohibited I think you can use it

What if they bought a VPN subscription and always stay connected through that VPN provider? For security purpose perhaps? So your data transmitted are encrypted and private.

 

Privacy is one of the concerns of VPN users. A short video might help you understand why it is essential.

Many user have VPN  for many different reasons some time they forget to off the VPN  or want good connection for speed up their internet.So nothing is wrong on using VPN .

This is a crypto related forum and crypto is prihibited in many nation. So, you can use vpn here in order to stay anonymous. it is not prohibited.

i don't think it is forbidden to use vpn is not written anywhere in the forum rules, the one integrated in the opera browser is very convenient for privacy even though i believe it is more a proxy than a vpn

I don't know if there is a blanket rule or certain ones for certain countries. But I use opera and chrome and vith von this site doesn't work for me. There's no need for me to have a vpn really anyway unless you want to have multiple accounts which doesn't interest me at all. Annoying having to turn on and off but at least with opera it's just one button.

I think VPN is not allowed especially since the management is very strict for multi-account abused. It is good for security but with this tool, you can also generate multiple accounts.

Using VPN Isn't a illegal thing. And since the forum moderators didn’t made the rule of VPN prohabited then you are free to use VPN. But making multiple accounts with the VPN is wrong and illegal and anybody can be banned for the reason.

I think in the world of internet there are many sites which is not working on your country like in my country some sites is ban by the government and when i open my VPN then these sites worked very fine through vpn.

I think using a VPN is not allowed because it can generate you a new IP address that can be abused by some users here by creating multiple accounts.

Maybe it is not prohibited since it is not stated in the rules and they cannot reach you. But don't use it for duplicate account purposes because you might get banned so better act carefully.

It depends on how you will used it. If you are using it because you are having problem with your internet connection, it is okay. But if you used it to do multiple account, that is not okay. Multiple accounts are forbidden, that is the general rule in this forum. You should respect those rules.

No using VPN is like having multiple ips means if the admins notice that your account has changed IP multiple times and frequently it may result in your account being banned if they think you abusing the system.

In any case i'm not quit sure if it is allowed or not, hope admins or moderators can answer it for clarification whether allowed or not, or update it in the forums rule.

Although I have never read the prohibition on using VPN in this forum, even if it is permitted, the risk is high, if there are other members who use VPNs with the same IP address, the account may be banned, considered having a double account.

So I've found that with my opera vnp that the site doesn't work but if I use another vpn it does work. I don't really need to use vpn ever anyway but to answer the question it can be done although I wouldn't. You'll probably get a ban or something. Especially while forum users are being paid to be here.

You are right that's why I think VPN is not allowed here because the multi account is strictly prohibited but I get the point of the others for security, if they have a concern about their security then I think cryptotalk is not for them.
