Is gamling addiction?

Recommended Posts

Yes gambling is addiction cause see that my own in duckdice.io some one high roller deposit litecoin 160 which he afford to lose and say's need to multply to  2300 ltc cause he wanna bought Aston martin car, but suddenly bust those lite coin, then he got angry and deposit 1500 ltc and need to multiply 6000 ltc he put high betting he return to 65 ltc! All he do make rain of those 65 ltc and broke phone and laptop. But for him to lost such money its nothing cause he was afford to lose. So if you are addicted in gambling dont do this with money which you are not afford to live.

I'm a living proof of been addicted to gambling specifically dice games, and there is no way to resist, the only w3ay i have been able to manage so for is my staying away from anywhere the dice is and making myself busy doing random stuff.

Gambling will give you fun and excitements. but this will not last long. time will come and you will start losing money and you are much eager to play the game, this will be an addiction and you will not control money anymore and you will lose bigger than what you afford! so better not do it and go away from it.

I lived abroad for a period, gambled a lot; but I've never had more thoughts, I've saved more than I've lost. So I did not addictive for some reason. but I also saw friends who were addicted. perhaps related to the structure of the person.

It mostly is. It is one of those things the more you do it the more you get addicted to it. Like smoking. I've seen many people who quit smoking but then they smoke only one cig and say "it is ok i am not going to make it a habit" but the next thing you know they started smoking again.

wow, I know that gambling can be as addictive as any drug, but didn't know it was really irresistable... and the will to play vanishes after a while, or it sticks with you along years? is it similar to smoking addiction?

some people loose fortunes over gambling, and other their own house and family... it is one of those things that can really drive people out of their minds... it is an addictive chemical reaction that happens in the brain while you play... some people must produce more than others

respect brother!

it is not anyone that can self-ban from an addiction... especially when you were having a profit... congrats!

Don't mind the dice at yobit (heard about it but I've never looked for them), focus on the investbox and trading 🙂

keep strong and keep busy with other stuff... maybe write an article about this matter? it could help others

Betting is an evil thing, it eats you little by little every time you lose making you believe that you can recover.

I can tell you that confidently because I used to work for an online casino, I saw many stories like yours where people were betting their life savings, money for their children, money for their doctor with the idea of recovering the money.

My recommendation is to play because it gives you fun, don't play as a way to generate income otherwise you're going to be emotionally attached to your losses and that's going to lead you to lose more.

Fully agree with opinion author, so as need spend much time and forces on forecasts and foresee all and questioning small sums, and if questioning headlong, then chance moreover, that you all lose =100%

It is bad for you to gamble every day because you will only get stressed and lose a lot of money by doing it. You should take a break and maybe even try to quit it since it is bad

Well its true that gambling is addictive but it depends on you if you just make it a hobby or you dedicated your life on it.

gambling is fun, and if you ever feel a big win it will certainly be more fun and eventually addicted. but don't make gambling as living dedication

Playing just in the weekends is definitely better than playing every single day. Just make sure you don't spend a lot of money because it doesn't matter if you play every day or just one day a month. The most important thing is how much money you spend there because you can lose in one day more money than in one entire month

I play a lot but not every time i loose even i win it cover the money loose and vice versa

Yup it is addictive from childhood you would be addicted to video game , PC game  or play station . There if you are playing well you can finish stage there wont be any cheating. But in gambling it is a business at last they just keep on giving u less profit and make u r big bet go red , psychological your mind wont accept the failure so till you win and take more payout you keep on investing it's the same feel what he had. I think he would have got affected deeply hope he recovers soon.

As I see now and then, Gambling is addictive. I see people lost their fortune because of gambling. I see people who lost their family and friends because of gambling. I see people who lost his self because of gambling. That is why I can say that gambling is addictive. What I can suggest is that to have self control. And focus your self to do other things than just gambling. Yes you can play gambling but play with the money you can afford to loose. And not with the money that is suppose to be for your family or for important thing than just gambling. Gambling can give fun but don't rely your fate on gambling.

I agree with you.  I'm also addicted to gambling, and you can't resist it. You are so addicted because you are winning at first but suddenly when you are fucked up that's the time you need to resist it, of being an addicted to something.

For me it's difference i did not quit gambling because i was loosing i quit it, because i wanted to focus on my studies, but now that i have finished my studies, i still don.t want it.

You and me both.  Some day, I even said to myself before making a deposit that I would not Dice today no matter what.  About ten minutes and a couple decisions later, I found myself losing some of that new money to dice, again!

Some of the great investment plans require dice.  I had to be firm to myself and not participate in them.  That is the only way for me to quit.  At least I was able to stay away Dice that way for more than... 24 hours so far 🙂

Gambling is like a blackhole and once in, there is no way of escaping it truly. I have never seen a gambler quit gambling for the rest of his life. They just simply can't as their brain is programmed to.

I did. I used to be gambler. I wasn't completely addicted but I was still playing occasionally. Now I play much much less. I can even tell I am not an addict anymore. It is possible if you use your brain. Gambling is like smoking. Many people think it is impossible to quit but there are thousands of people who do everyday.

Mind over matter.  However each individual has his or her own will power level and it’s never a one size fits all.

“Impossible” is an absolute word.  Nothing is impossible, but the probability for an addict to quit anything is very low.  That’s why we use the word impossible to describe that hopelessness.

For the ones who are still thinking of making it through life via gambling, if he sees or hears enough about the struggles that an addict has to go through, maybe he won’t start.  That’s who I am hoping to get to, when I share my struggles..

So what you are saying is, to able to quit being addicted, you need to not become an addict in the first place. It makes sense in a way. I believe I was like that too. I was never a complete addict so It was easy for me to quit this bad habit.
