What would you do if your non-custodial wallet got hacked ?

I give you a situation and I expect you to give solutions here.
Suppose, your Ethereum wallet's private key or secret seed(get it clearly I am not talking about Custodial wallet) has been stolen by a hacker. Unfortunately that was your main Ethereum wallet where you have stored so many tokens and so many deposits still about to come in that wallet. Now hacker is actively monitoring your wallet and whenever you deposit Ether to move your tokens, he immediately transfers Ether to his personal wallet.So in this really drastic situation,

• What you would do to prevent that hacker from getting further wrong benefits? 
• As you still have wallet's private key, can Ethplorer or Etherscan flag that wallet address upon your request so that hacker is not noticing further transactions coming in that wallet?

If our wallet is compromised, I don t think we are able to recover the money in it because the hackers will steal the money as soon as they breach the wallet, so we do not have enough time to recover it, so we must work to protect our wallet from the start

For instance, in such cash, the private key or the seed phrase is already been known to the hackers, which means, they have to keys to unlock the coins in it from the blockchain, so, it is like they are the owner of the wallet because they have the keys.

@Zaino34True, mate. Once wallet seed is gone, no crypto wallet balance will be for us but I just imagine this case for some accidental situations if there are any solutions to flag or ban ethereum wallet address from receiving the further deposits in it.

To prevent hacking and theft, wallet email, personal information and passwords should not be shared with any party or websites that use cookies. I would like to point out a smart step that can be taken, which is to use mail and passwords that are specific to the wallet and not be used by any other sites and a phone number only for the wallet no one know him

@magdThanks ! Anyway, have you clearly got the point from topic ? I am talking about non-custodial wallet 😊 Anyway, in the case of online hot wallet, your idea is good to keep wallet safe from the scammers.

Hello my friend, you reminded me of a painful story that happened with me exactly like this, this happened several years ago when I was a beginner and a little experienced and I was working in airdrops and got several tokens to the MEW wallet and one time I participated in the airdrop and asked me to put my private key until I get On the reward it turned out to be a phishing site, he stole my private key and started send out the important tokens from the wallet, I was inexperienced and he very expert and whenever I sent some ether to convert the token he was faster than me and took it, and he started pulling the token in front of my eyes and I could not do anything, In the end i surrendered and left the wallet for him.
Unfortunately I tried to contact Ethplorer or Etherscan but I did not succeed and it turns out that they can do nothing but to place a red flag on this site as a phishing site.

Fortunately, I have not faced such situations yet but based on other user's experiences, I decided to create this topics whether there are any solutions to prevent such heartless scammers from getting the wrong benefits or not. Personally, I do still believe that flagging or blocking such address on any ethereum explorer sites may help.

I appreciate your sincere feelings, my brother, but do not worry, I passed this long ago and I am not sad now because I have gained a great experience from these painful experiences, for the ethereum explorer it may be useful to inform it about the address and they will put a red mark around it but I do not think they have the ability On stopping scammer or recovering the stolen tokens.

Since there are so many ETH explorer sites like Etherscan, Etherchain,Ethplorer etc, what do you think,can be there any possibility for some alliance from all explorer sites to block such hacker's or scammer's address immediately upon a verification of wallet ownership ? Or Ethereum blockcahin itself can include this sort of features in future ?

The truth is that it seems that the hacker has your private key and therefore even if you do try to move to another wallet and then recover your account through the private key, the key will remain the same and the hacker will have access to the funds. There are only two things that you can do here. The first is to create a new ethereum wallet that is on a separate and safe system. Once you have done this successfully you will then need to intercept all deposits before the hacker gets a chance to see it to move it to the new ethereum address. Once all incoming deposits have been rerouted, you can then close that wallet and use the new one as your primary wallet.

For a non-custodian wallet that's has been hacked, even if the address is changed in other for him to be notified, he can still get access to your wallet and transfer the funds. It might sounds unlogical but I think I will find and alternative in a new wallet (it is a custodian wallet anyways 😏).

I have always been against trusting my assets to a custodian. I never want a third party to have control over my assets. The main point of having a custodial wallet is to secure your crypto but ironically custodial wallets and exchanges have a bad history of being hacked. So i prefer having full control over my wallets. If i lose my private key or seed phrase to a hacker then it is solely my lack of competence and i will have to bear the losses caused by that. There is not much we can do if a hacker gets full access to our wallets. All we can do is move whatever we can to a secure address.

Well, using non-custodial wallet is the smartest choice to have full control over our funds. Yes, some exchange sites are hacked so for a long-term holdings, it is better to store our funds in a non-custodial wallet. Clearly, in future more advanced technologies are yet to come even to flag such address.

If my wallet is stolen, I will be able to discover the matter quickly, but I will not be able to recover anything from the stolen currencies. In this case, I will delete this wallet in addition to I will reset the device's factory. Then I will try and subscribe. With a better and safer wallet

@NezarIt is ok if you are focused to shift towards another new wallet after resetting your devices, Anyway, my concern was whether there are any ways to prevent that hacker from getting the wrong benefits or not because other transactions are also about to come there.

If my non custodial got hacked, it will be as a results of my fault, I will back up the phrase, and I will do hard reset to the device, after that, I will check the files to see if there is any file still remaining, if not able to erase, I will just change the names, changing of the names will make the malware that did not format to be completely useless. But this can not happen to me, malware are as a result of careless use of wallet devices online.

@BitcryptoHanSounds like a good plan 😉 ! It would be still better if you choose some good antivirus software to  install on your smartphone. Antivirus software may prevent some malicious applications which asks for so many permissions.

Aside these, you need to practice safe browsing, most coin theft is because of malware through email or unprotected sites. A protected site can even link you to unprotected sites. So, we need to be careful of malware like keyloggers.

I think that only way to avoid this is make a new wallet. This one is obviously compromised. It might be that the hacker added some bot that instantly sents all ethereum to his own address once deposited. Can't do anything else than stop using this wallet and perhaps destroy all the information about it.

I don't think they can flag it. They usually flag addresses that are proven to be used by scammers, or used after major exchange hacks. For a personal account they won't take any steps. 

Although you can leave a comment in etherscan about this address.

If your wallet got hacked depending on yourself lack of security, there will no way you can do, but if it is hacked from the wallet servers, there can have possibilities of giving back your funds.
