Is Altcoin and Crypto the same? Here is the anwer!

Yeah,they are the same. Altcoins is those coin except for bitcoin and,they are all called as cryptocurrencies. They are just different in their use cases and price.

The cryptocurrency is a general term that refers to the all digital coins that have been developed until now. Since the first crypto was bitcoin, all other coins that were revealed after that was categorized into altcoin category because they are alternative coins. Based on this explanation, there is no difference between altcoins and cryptocurrency but there is some misunderstandings about the usage of these two terms in the crypto world. The reality is that BTC and Altcoins both belong to the cryptocurrency group but they are different digital coins.

Thats because Bitcoin was the original cryptocurrency, so it has a special place and name. Others are "alternative" coins, thats why called altcoins. They are just different than btc,

I think both they have the same things, market and the same goal, maybe the things we can find on them different is the price. When we talk about Atlcoin we are talking about the alternative coin of Bitcoin, so after the creation of Bitcoin they have born others coin named Altecoin as alternative coin.

Classifying cryptocurrencies based on bitcoin and altcoins is too overgeneralized because we have many different altcoins and each of them have quite unique features that make them stand out. We have multiple ecosystems, networks, mining difficulties and supply. For example it is a little unfair to categorize ETH and Doge in the same category because ETH is much more practical. There are also tokens which don't belong to altcoin category. I believe stable coins should be treated differently because they don't resemble bitcoin and altcoins.

The term altcoin is on the reference of Crypto coins as which are alternate of tye original or first ever Crypto coin which is the bitcoin, as every coin which is not bitcoin is termed as an altcoin. Crypto is just a general idea or a call on Cryptocurrencies

Simply put, crypto is a wide field that contains a lot of different technologies and currencies, but the tokens are only currencies like bitcoins that are traded on the platforms.
