Any news about Cryptopia ?!

After the alleged hacker attack suffered by exchange Cryptopia, since then when we accessed the site we came across the news that it has entered into liquidation and investigation to possibly refund its lost coins to its users. But since the alleged attack was reported, we have had no concrete news, I myself have lost ETH, ETN and some satoshis, I say I lost because I received nothing from the Cryptopia team about compensation. So guys if anyone has any news can post here that will be of great use !! Hugs to all !!

Don't expect that they back your funds because they will never get back a full refund to their members.. All cryptos were stolen and for sure they will hide now.

They are pretty much done. I lost some  my coins. If they don't make it right for the people that didn't get hacked that is very bad for any new crypto startups in New Zealand.But this loss  made me realise never place your all coins at exchange.

Crytopia has been attacked by hackers and many of its users have lost a lot of their coins, but there is news that they will replace it all, but this is reportedly unclear and uncertain.

In an announcement two days after the fact, the Binance CEO affirmed that the store to Binance wallet had been solidified after the network called for activity on informal communities.

The liquidators just posted another update few days ago and as usual there's no information on the udpate on when can cryptopia customers can get their funds out of this mess.

Even Mt Gox haven't refunded its users after all these years and the distribution date keeps moving. I am afraid cryptopia will just be the same and will just continue with their delaying tactics and eventually people will get tired of waiting.

Binance already returned this funds and yet cryptopia owners decided to keep their pocket full at the expense of their users.

 

This should a lesson for all the storing your coins in an exchange is not safe and its not insured in case something bad happen.

The same thing happened to my account in cryptopia. Some of my altcoins have evaporated without any news until now. Pretty sad indeed.

Some people say's its an inside job or a self hacked, Its common specially when an exchange are having liquidity issues and they cannot honor customers withdrawal anymore, Also one possible reason is they had planned this for a long time and they just choose to exit scam last january 2019 using a hack story.

I take a look occasionally on cryptopia as I had a few altcoins parked there. It wasn't too much and since I just wanted to trade them at some point I though it was fine to leave them there hanging. Major mistake though. They seem to be still under investigation from the authorities and also under liquidation terms. No other information except from what we've already heard. Craptopia screwed a lot of people and a lot of projects. They could have become a major hub for small cap altcoins but they chose not to.
