Recommended Posts

There are so many people in the world who have been hacked before in their wallet.Hackers are always checking the  others wallet. Everyone should use higher security features

You have a good point but I don't think that any online wallet is safe either. Any centralized service can be hacked and some exchanges like Yobit are having top programmers that understand perfectly security and have experience to handle anything, but there are others that don't and I don't think that wallets online are a good way to feel safe. I would prefer a hardware wallet.

Yes, some wallets have been hacked, and that is through the sending Abbots and following up on the wallets with big money, but all security features must be used so as not to be hacked

I don't remember using online wallets ever. Maybe I had an account on Blockchain but I didn't ever use it and I've learned that there is also a blockchain wallet app. Anyway I feel better having even desktop wallets and having safe my private keys so I can access my crypto if something goes wrong.

Online wallets are more susceptible to be hacked than other (offline) wallets because they are directly connected to the internet; personally I read a lot of people saying they were hacked and their funds were gone (this happens when your key is not well stored or your password was week ...etc

In the latest hacking of cryptocurrency trading platforms, the Italian platform “Altsbit” was subjected to a hacking operation of its hot wallet, which was completely emptied by suspected cybercriminals.

There are a lot of cases where the online wallet has been hacked same goes to some exchange, in short everything on internet can be hacked by the hackers. So I think it would be safe if we chose the hardware wallet like Ledger over the online wallet that was prone from hackers since the internet is the one that make us interconnected.

I am feel safer with Yobit dear, it is one of the best and a top security exchange. I am not known what are these online wallet you are say and I am like to have an example if there is one. I am also read the most security comes with have a private key stored and a hardware wallet with the 12 word passphrases.

There are some wallets that if you choose you won't go wrong with. Atomic wallet, trust wallet and blockchain wallet. These wallets are very secured and you are guaranteed that your money is safe unless you are careless and let others tap into your phone to steal your data.

I heard that blockchain.com was hacked and that several people had their money stolen I do not know if it is really true but it is what I heard on a page but you have to be very careful in which wallet we keep our money.

@annayksThere is no platform or site that is not hackable my friend ... there are major companies that have been hacked ... such as Paypal ... it is only related to the tools that you use ... and some users usually embed ....

Decentralized systems like Bitcoin can't be hacked as a code change will require thousands of programmer, miners, exchanges, wallets and nodes to agree on it. This is the strength of Bitcoin that a decision can't be taken by one person, or one computer/node that has admin power. It is something accepted by everyone involved. This is why we support decentralization so much and why centralized services such as Paypal are getting hacked.

I have bot heard any such news before  in which someone  stated that he has over taken the key and has stealed the money from you, as they need this one.

Yes friend. Many online wallets were hacked along with the exchange for e.g Balancer, coincheck. These wallets were hacked before. Don't put your money in online wallet for long time because hackers steal your money from online wallets.

Doubt so as many wallets are really heavily secured by many things just to make our things safe always even in the worst case scenario they would something if it happens as its a problem for them too as its a bother for customers.

Yes, there are some instances where some software cryptocurrency wallet are being hacked. But most cases was the fault of users. It is because some users are not being careful with their pass keys and someone obtained it, that is why some wallets are being hacked. So if you're considering to use one, just make sure that you're going to be extra careful with your pass keys.

I haven't had about any wallet that has been harked before. I don't too much make inquiries about wallets that why I don't know much about your question.  I will advice anybody to use yobit because its cheap and very secure to use.

I don't think so most of famous online wallets are safe like trust and coinomj just make sure you download them from a safe and secure site or application i recommend Google play and keep you private key safely.

Yes, some of the major trading platforms' portfolios such as binance were hacked and their losses were significant, but traders were compensated for all losses with the platform's own funds. And be careful, because hackers are very sophisticated and can do a lot with a small vulnerability.

Even exchanges have been hacked and millions in crypto assets have been stolen, right now I don't have a specific case about onlines wallets, but I do know what has happened before. A couple of months ago Kucoin was hacked and is a very popular exchange.

I am not sure but it is a security threat anyway. I don't remember reading about online wallets been hacked ever sill this doesn't make them more secure than exchanges. They are same with security. You have to be careful when you don't have ownership of the private key.

I have not heard about anything wallet that has been hacked before. Choose a trusted wallet and store your coin or investment. Scammer can use your wallet address to trace your earnings, but can never hack a whole wallet.

I don't know about more I think that the safer exchange will use the best exchange. Some exchanger doubt full for their activities.

Some wallets have been indirectly compromised, since they steal funds from them through phishing or fake emails, where they ask members to update or link the Wallet and take the opportunity to steal the credentials, an example is Ledger, which recently compromised some members.

Basically hacking is not an easy task. There is a full procedure for it I will try to explain it to you. If the hacker got your email address or any personal information from which he can login to your account or he can send to your account he will use it and will try different passwords he will not try it by itself he will prepare a board which will try different password like he will use about thousands and hundreds of the password is of very low time. If you have used a common password then it can be easily hacked and the other thing is that they give you a link and when you log into that link that your wallet is hacked or your account can be hacked.

Online wallets are not much different from exchanges, and we have seen many hack from exchanges and besides that there have been some cases where online wallets have been hacked but it is so rare. However still the point is it is possible for online wallets to be hacked.
