Is online mining with other people's CPU is a kind of scam activity?

I agree with you friend, one of those sites killed my laptop. I joined them and start mining bitcoin with one of their packages, my laptop was becoming slow everyday and i noticed maybe its because of that mining site that i have joined. When i need to quit the mining, i didn't be able to do that for a 3 months until my laptop overheat and die. I real hate mining!

This is illegal. I have heard about some malicious programs that use computers for mining, so we must be careful so that other people s mining devices are not used and we must protect them because they may harm these devices when they mining through them.

Normally, when a website use your hardware power to activate mining when you visit it, they must inform you with a displayed message, it's not a scam. A lot of faucets were doing it in the past.

This is true like Crypto Tab browser that makes the performance of the device is very slow when we activate the mining button and similar browsers work in the background I have deleted Crypto Tab and experience the performance and the matter is very different with respect to speed in my opinion it is a kind of fraud because you can not withdraw whenever you want and there is a slow process in the mining They ask for a deposit

Yeah the hackers and fraudulent are increasing day by they are using others computer to mine. Yes online with the other peoples CPU is a kind of scam activity, it's illegal to enter into other computer. So i don't recommend to download files from unauthorized sites and give information.

@magd  CryptoTab doesn't ask for a deposit to be able to withdraw. You device is slow when you activate the mining option, it's normal, it's mining, your device is doing calculations... About minimal withdrawal amount, it's same on all mining pool, because we have to pay transaction fees required by the network, we h ave to set a minimal withdrawal amount.

They make use of a mining malware they install on users computer as they visit there sites, this is a scam and the site we visit should be sure of not having such malware that will be installed on our devices.

Well mate I have no PC so I don't face this problem but I know without take PC owners permission, mine any coin its scam because they use our CPU internet and electricity to mine this coins, its illegal activity so don't clike and malware ad are link to entire in our PC and demage, use always known anti virus software to protect against this virus.

For me, I think it is a fraud and not good to use at all. It is better that we buy our own devices and perform mining operations ourselves without the need for anyone.

CryotoTab browser is an online example of an application that uses the device CPU and GPU to mine and rewards you a percentage of it in return. There has been reported cases of mobile phones and computers crashing due to this heavy usage of the CPU, CryptoTab might be surely legit but it's doing more harm than good.

Yes it is a scam, botnents can be used as a malware to mine from other peoples devices, Montero is the common coin the bad people use to mine. It is not legit and very wrong to do. If you avoid malware, you will also avoid it.

I won't advise mining with another person's CPU as it's kind of not trustworthy to go well along with and the process doesn't really seems reliable to me, it is good to use an updated and strong CPU and have it done by oneself rather than taking the risk of connecting to another's CPU. It's not safe either allowing another person to use your CPU for mining with or without your consent because the computer would later try getting damage in due time as a result of online exposure of the mining activity and viruses as well. Attackers could easily have access to the informations provided on the computer and that would incure another lost of files and data on the computer as well. The overall process could render the computer useless along the run.

Sure this can be such kind of scam but not in such, but we say it is scamming activity somehow because you mine with others CPU power without them to know and without their permission, so this might be cost them by over heating their CPU.

If you are using a computer which is not your personal computer and you are using the computer of someone else without his permission that is for sure a scam

No dear I think this is not scam.Throgh CPU if you start mining this is not a easy thing first you modify it and then its required the hard work from you.So I think the hard working is not sarcasm.

Its looks you are not yet facing with such kind of scam activities because you cannot discover this scam activities if you are not an expert, but you can discover this once when you accessing certain websites your browser performance will be very slowly.

I don't think if it can be possible to avoid the hidden mining software z but the only thing that's you can do is to avoid using such websites thats you think they are using your hardware for mining.

I think it is a fraudulent activity and it often falls victim to beginners who aspire to get rich quickly without understanding the consequences of things, as I cannot trust cloud mining sites and I will not send my money to someone without knowing him or that there are official papers and contracts between us.
