Exchange fault is the main not the coins because if the exchange is so much strong and secure than no one can hack the system and the investors not loss their money. Thats why so many peoples will buy the coins and they send their coins to their wallet because of the exchange hacking afraid that they can loss their money at any time.

yes I agree with you. now many people are starting to send their capital to wallets for fear that the exchange they use is hacked or scammed

I dont know what makes so insecure for your perspective. in my view ethereum is secure and it took 2nd place from a long time. i have been entered crypto world since past 2 years and yet ethereum is still stayed its position and become the top and popular crypto coin in the world. i hope it is secure and sometimes you may face network issue, but its secured for sure.

Last Friday December 6th they have released the EIP in order to add new layers of improvements, and by 2021 ETH network will move to PoS!

What id the exchanges you mentioned had their own flaws that lead to their hacks. The fact that they got hacked doesn't mean ETH network is compromised

exactly the people really need to stop blaming this hack and other hacks on exchanges and say its the etheruem notwork thats bad because if thats so then we will see etheruem hacked everyday.

yeah yeah...that's my point. Come to think of it. This is just like people saying crypto is bad because it is used by criminals🤣🤓. The fact that something is used as a channel to orchestrate crime doesn't make that thing the direct cause lol..

This is no alarm to me. Etherum network is secure I know this for fact! The problem is the EXCHANGES ARE NOT SECURE. So make sure when you sign up to an exchange, including yobit, that you don't put 100% of your money in the exchange, and that you use 2FA codes and secure login. Any exchange can lose their funds and go under. Do you remember mt gox one of the first bitcoin exchanges and their people still haven't got bitcoins back yet! But DO NOT CONFUSE THIS WITH ETH. Eth is secure. It is exchange security you have to worry about. Eth is still good to invest in so no need to scare people off ETH.

I think some exchanges are not save and not the Ethereum network i think you have to other things not crypto if you think that a Cryptocurrency is not save.

ETH is a trusted platform and if someone hack any exchange then all the fault is that exchange not the ETH coin because you just safe the coin in the exchange not in the ETH wallet and now ETH is more secure than the other wallets and also BTC. ETH coin is a good and secure coin.

Some people are quick to blame the blockchains and underling crypto software for hacks that happen against exchanges. e.g. Binance was hacked. that does not mean bitcoin software is insecure. It's just Binance doing poor security practices.

you are right.till now mainly ethereum has been stolen than other cryptocurrency. i don't know exactly what is reason behind the ethereum loots.but almost all exchanges has lost there money in ethereum format.

When Dao was hacked, the code is broke. But Vitalik fixed it. But Upbit is an exchange and it is unrelated to Ethereum network security.

These hacks have nothing to do with the Ethereum Network but with the security of the exchanges. You need to realize the difference between a network and an exchange. The Ethereum network is actually really safe and because of the large amount of hashpower involved in mining it, it can't be 51% attacked. It is one of the 3 networks that have never been 51% attacked.

They have made some changes for new accounts like protecting with password, but it should use atleast a 2 factor code. I don't know how people keep large amounts of money in those wallets where their is no recovery if the password lost.

Some people might traveling to other countries by using this crypto can be hurt their trip, if the key lost or hacked. I have seen here in this forums people posted they lost hopes on Ethereum due to lack of security.

Hacking an exchange has nothing to do with the security of the blockchain. The exchanges got hacked, not the coin ecosystems. Soon after Cryptopia got hacked they were shut down and now have problems with the law. I believe they tried to do an exit scam which backfired on them massively.

In recent we have too many scams and hacks which are giving too much loses exchanges and apps to do some more for security for them as if they are not able to do this then users will lost money and many others will not trust them which could be more damaging for this community I also read in recent weeks few exchanges have big hacks big loses.

I think it’s not ethereum network issue for hacking. It’s exchange security issues. 

In this year we already saw lot of exchange hacked and many people lost his fund.

Maximum hacker target to Ethereum coin because it’s easy to exchange with any decentralized exchange.

Yes hackers are everywhere, but hackers always use a vulnerability in security to cyber attack, many news about hacking ether means there is a vulnerability on he ethereum network.

Yes i am with you this is not ethereums network fault and i notice that the online exchange do not have high security therefore hackers have banifit to attack on exchange sites .
