Bitcoin got so  expensive because they are useful as a form of money .this can be measured by its growing base of users, merchants, and startups.its with all current bitcoin value comes only and directly from people willing to accept them as payments.The Scarcity of bitcoin all contributes to its value(only 21 millions bitcoins with a limited supply).
