Throughout history, thousands of bitcoins have been lost in thefts, lost private keys, simple keys and devices.
When we talked about the devices, a man had stored in a hard disk more than 1000 bitcoins years ago, he lost this hard disk in the garbage, but when he heard about the imminent climb he went to retrieve it to the landfill although it was too late by that time .
There are several cases like this but similar, it is unfortunate that many bitcoin units have been lost without mercy forever, including sending bitcoins to non-existent purses, these cases have also manifested on more than one occasion.

I would actually like to know how much BTC has been lost - I have also heard many cases about people who have lost the private keys to their wallets - meaning it's been lost forever. Computer crashes, hacking, lost keys and generally people who have forgotten that they had bitcoin from way back when - There can't be very much left to be honest. Although it still exists in the blockchain, it can never be recovered.

This is true, too. I had a similar situation, but this would have happened because the cryptocurrencies were being developed cautiously and then cautiously.

If ever we/you loss bitcoin just simply accept the fact. And face the future or continue to move forward. If you want to recover your loss go and buy then trade again but don't repeat the ways we've made it before of course.

I think bitcoin price recover after December. Bitcoin is one of the all time favorite and very Potential coin. This coin is almost all people favorite. This coin recover hit all time high . But this coin future is bright . People can buy this and they can hold it.

people are struggling who made purchase bitcoin at 20K price. specially frustration increased between the price goes below at 4K in 2019. really difficult for them to hold when they saw market ate their equities. on the other hand many people bought with that cheap rate who made good profits at the same time. losers and gainer all are here. if you already bought it then hold it until its recover your loss or hit your profits target.

These guys that learned about Bitcoin early could actually manage to mine around 10.000BTC per day using their desktop cpu's. A few of these pioneers didn't care much to backup and didn't actually believe that price would ever reach 1$. Some hard drives broke, they stopped mining, lost interest and later they found out that they basically lost millions. It is quite devastating and I really hope they at least bought back at some time when it was low again. These people are tech-junkies and found out the best investment ever before everyone else. I feel really sad listening to their stories.

There are many stories like that.. they have lost their bitcoins because they forgot the private keys, accidentally deleting the dat file, corrupted hard drives. We should careful where to store the private keys or the files.

There should be a backup file on the hard drive. so that when the hard drive is gone, we have a backup. whatever we do in this crypto must have a backup, for example a wallet or private key, so as to anticipate the occurrence of something undesirable such as the loss of the hard drive or something else.

Well, that's true. It is very unfortunate for those people who already lost their bitcoin. But this must be a lesson for them to secure their bitcoin. They must ensure that the place where they place or put their coin is safe and easy to access.

Those bitcoin that was lost because the private keys got misplace there is no way of recovering them but for the ones that were stolen from exchanges and people there might still be hope for recover.

Unfortunately, this is one of the negative aspects of the blockchain. It is decentralized, that is, not affiliated with anyone, and if you send Bitcoin to the wrong portfolio, the money will be suspended in that wallet and you will not be able to return it.

With the discovery of those quantum computers, maybe fir those lost coins could be cracked back, but in short this is not a good thing, it is  risk of crypto world been doomed. I think those computers should be declared illegal.

Lost bitcoin cannot be recovered. There are people who offers finding lost coin but never believe them,they are scammers,  being very careful with our accountabilities is the only thing that we can do.
