Will bitcoin ever stop being number 1 in CoinMarketcap?

History has shown that nothing stays at the top for ever, and with these I believe no matter how long it takes Btc to stay at the top one very important factors will emerge that will cause it to fluctuate and give room to other cryptocurrencies to shine.

I am not sure about this, I look at Ethereum lately and there are people thinking it can become huge and be number one in two years from now because they think the update of Ethereum will be so good that everyone will start using ethereum and it will be more useful. I don't know if this is possible but I'm only saying what I've heard.

When we see crypto currency total market cap currently it is 128.78 billion where it's mostly shares comes from BTC and altcoin market cap is not enough to over through  BTC from it's 1st position. This will be then happen when another big coin/token comes from altcoin side who enlarge his size like BTC and  become more popular. Before that its not gonna happened.

Number one in what respect? Volume? Value? Capitalization? Your question is not clear. In terms of market cap, I think beating bitcoin is a hard task to follow by altcoins but bear in mind that Coinmarketcap lists data in general and it doesn't refer to any specific exchange. In terms of volume, sometimes ETH beats bitcoin in some exchanges for a while (like what happened a few months ago) but this is temporary and soon bitcoin takes its crown back. So, bitcoin is the overall winner but there are always some exceptions to the rule.

No altcoin can ever beat bitcoin. Most of them are created to alter its value to small extent for sometime and once they are done they get disappeared. The altcoins with good potential are also very much behind in value as compared to Bitcoin

There are so many promising and valuable altcoins which have good potential and have the capability to become profitable but i don't think they could replace bitcoin because all altcoins follow Bitcoin price. If bitcoin rises they rise too and if the bitcoin falls they fall too.
