I am tryt o understand this too and from the answers of other I read above the question you are have is about the same thing because public key is the address too but the private key is the secret that you cannot share with another person it will help you acess your crypto and your wallet.

The difference between Public Keys and Address is that a person will not benefit from giving him your Public Keys unless he uses a tool to find out your wallet address, and you will not be hurt by anything. Rather, when you give him your address, he will be able to send through a wallet or a exchange, not like Public Keys.

Crypto address can be shared anywhere. There is no harm to your wallet. Private keys are like address by which someone can check your account but it is also okey we can share it. But private keys are important. If we share it our account will ba hacked.

The public key is the transaction of your address if any one have it they can see all your transaction that you have doneo with your address. Private is a password which wanted to be safe and secure.

Just to let know every beginner that the public key is one that you can share with others and tell them that this is your address and they also can see the crypto you own. The private key allows you to access the crypto and send them somewhere else.

@kenan 1The public key is only not revealed to others because of privacy. All your transactions can be traced if know to scammer, the scammers will input it on any bitcoin explorer and will reveal the whole transactions even if you have been using different addresses. But, I do not think it can be used to brute- force it private key.

I think you have a little confusion in the terms, the public keys, they are the ones you can share, it is more you must share them so that you can receive transactions in your wallet, it is like the address or your account number. No buddy, you got it wrong, Public key is to be revealed to everyone. In simple words Public key is like your bank account number, which can be given to others, so they may send receive money from you. However its the private key, that needs to be protected. Dont reveal your private key to anyone, without accessing your private key, there is no way anyone can hack into your account, as a 16 character pass code, to be broken even with the best of algorithm, would take hundreds of years.

Certainly, but it is advisable to use wallets with a private key and that have a seed phrase backup, since without it no one will have access to your account in the event that your pc is hacked by malicious programs, so just keep your seed phrase in one place other than your pc because one day you may have a hack attack and thus prevent them from accessing your cryptocurrency wallet @Yomose
