Altcoin can't replace btc

the second cryptocurrency by capitalization is ethereum. But in order to catch up with Bitcoin, the capitalization of Ethereum must grow 10 times. Capitalization = investor confidence. Here Bitcoin is beyond competition.

Yes it is very difficult that some altcoin replaces Bitcoin and become the number 1 cryptocurrency. Even if i believe XRP which is being used by banks for international transactions could become huge as there is a need of an enormous quantity of coins to satisfy the demand. If this happens since XRP is able to transact in 4 seconds , this could make it better than bitcoin and so even more adopted.

Although, bitcoin has proven to be the king in the crypto space, there have been several reasons why alt coins have proven to be good on the other hand.

 

Bitcoin is used for investment purposes and not for petty transactions like a lot of alt coins. Unlike bitcoin being seen as gold, altcoins are used for transacting on a daily basis. The reason why bitcoin seems indispensable is because is served as an investment asset and is kept just like gold while altcoin has decided to serve as our regular dollar or pounds sterling used for transactions on a regular basis.

No altcoin can get ahead of bitcoin! To do this, it was necessary to appear first in 2009. If investors leave Bitcoin = they will leave cryptocurrencies. the new altcoin will not be able to interest them.

Altcoins cannot replace bitcoin. I think there is no potential in any of the altcoin that it can replace the dominance of the bitcoin. Bitcoin have dominance all over the coins.

Absolutely, Bitcoin is the digital gold. Altcoins like eth,eos,bch will never replace bitcoins, in 2019 bull run most of all alts collapse(lose half of satoshi value)

 Bitcoin is first of its kind, its the King, and has stood the test of time. All other coins are called altcoins, and some may argue is just by product of bitcoin. There are some coins that can overtake bitcoin, Eth comes first in mind and probably ripple  but at present the chances are pretty slim

Yes I think as long as bitcoin will exist altcoin will never replace bitcoin because of the price difference and of the priority given to bitcoin. More and more people are getting profit from bitcoin so altcoin will never ever replace bitcoin.

Every day life new innovations and vital technology is coming. Till now there is no to beat bitcoin but in future there could be another bitcoin.

I think it is not possible for anyone to do their duty completely, and one of the reasons is that such coins are not yet available in the market and will be able to cut Bitcoin and hence I think it is never possible to do bitcoin

As of now I don't think a single alt coin comes close to replacing bitcoin as bitcoin was the very first coin in the market and even though the alt coins are growing and developing, bitcoin is doing the same together with them maybe even at a much faster pace than most of them and with the amount of people that use and invest in bitcoin it would be very hard for alt coins to replace it.

If you look for the price of bitcoin compared to the altcoins, you will see a very very big difference and the gap between them. That's why it is impossible for the altcoins to overtake bitcoin,n especially in price, all those years, you will notice how still low the cost of the altcoins, and it indicates that bitcoin will remain on top, but maybe there's a chance if there will be a miracle.

I don`t think so ,because bitcoin is mother of crypto, and altcoin prices refer to bitcoin, if bitcoin go down all coins will also go down, and vice versa.

Bitcoin will still be dominated the market in terms of marketcap which Bitcoin holds 70% of market capitalization. The value of Bitcoin was also a factor for Bitcoin to dominate altcoins.

I think for now, it is impossible for altcoin to beat or replace bitcoin because bitcoin was the first crypto coin that was invented and it's still improving and being developed as time passes. Maybe in the future there will be an altcoin or new invention that will beat or replace bitcoin, because every year there are lots of new invention that is showing up.
