If you check this topic and posts under it very well, I think it is the difference between web and mobile wallet they are talking about. The topic person made a mistake due to newbie knowledge he is having. It will be good of he can correct this.

You can also trade on some wallets like coinbase, you can try it to see how it works. There is an excuse called coinbase pro where you can trade too, but I am talking about coinbase wallet where you can also trade easily.

@Jandancoin, I am not new to this, I know all wallets and exchange coinbase are having. And mind that I prefer to trade on exchanges like the coinbase pro, while using hardware wallet or noncustodial wallet for holding.

Mobile wallet is more useful because it can be use offline and it is more secure than online wallet. While online wallet requires internet for its access and it is less secure as compared to Mobile wallet.

Mobile wallet can truly be used offline, but you will need two phones for this, I know about electrical wallet, and other wallets that you can send the public key to in a way it will only be used for other things while the other used offline will serve for signing transactions.

Both are not the best type of wallets but I think mobile wallet are way more preferably to me compared to online wallet. They are:

  • More safer (although I will prefer paper for ultimate security)
  • More ease of use
  • Better customer support

NB: Maybe you need to rather change the *online to * Web as mobile wallet can also be an online wallet and also could be offline.

Certainly, mobile wallets are much better than Internet wallets, in addition to all that you mentioned the Internet wallets do not give you your private keys, and therefore you practically do not own your currencies in fact because the first rule in Crypto says your private keys = your currencies, but if you do not have your private keys it can be Ban you or freeze your coins at any time.

But, we should know that be it mobile or online, they are still both online wallet, online wallets can be good but not safe like offline wallets. I prefer online wallet to be compared to offline wallet instead.

Personally, I tend to prefer the mobile wallets, because on the internet there is many malware that your computer or laptop can be infected with, especially if you are using it constantly online, and therefore there is a much higher risk that you data and log in information for your wallet can be stolen by hackers. However, your phone generally has a built in antivirus that prevents these malware attacks, and also many do not download on their phone, which also reduces the risk of it being infected. Therefore, in my opinion mobile wallets are better because they are safer.

wallets

Wallets are like the first step towards accuring or owning a cryptocurrency

Online wallet

An online wallet allows you to access your crypto via the internet. Although they are fast in transactions and are able to manage multiple crypto currencies on the go, the risk are that you are opened to a potential vulnerability to hackers and scams

Mobile wallet

ON the contrary, mobile wallets are available on your phone through an application.

They are secured and a bit safe as well as easily accessible but you risk losing your cryptos should incase you lost or misplace your phone

Having gone through these post,          which would you rather prefer?

         ONLINE or MOBILE wallets??

@Froshk Those are only two types of wallets that exist in cryptocurrencies, but there is something you must say, if you lose your phone and have the words seeds you can get your coins back, the best wallet I have used is where I have my keys, save coins In the hands of third parties it opens the possibility of losing them, that is why the ones that are on paper and the cold ones are the best to keep our cryptos safe, greetings and thanks for sharing your ideas with us.

@Raqeebzyits because the wallet offers it's services through a web server that it's called "online" you can call it "web" wallet if you so wish,

your wallet on yobit.net exchange is an example of online wallet (exchange wallet)

You can do more research on it,

Thanks

And,

Most mobile wallets do have their online versions, it's just left for you to decide, which do you prefer??

Is the one you open through the Application??(mobile wallet)

Or

The one your open through the web(online wallet)

So which do you prefer 🤗???

Both are useful but mobile phones allow us to carry our money and be managed much faster and easier, since having them online requires a browser and that requires a little more time to carry out transactions, in my opinion I prefer mobile phones.

In my opinion the best wallets will be those that you have your own private keys. Personal wallets are encrypted and not even the companies that created them will be able to help us recover our wallets in case of loss. This shows us the security of personal wallets.

I don't want to drag this further but I think where the problem lies is identifying the difference between online and web, nonetheless, I will try to break that down.

Online wallets are a different category of wallets connected to the internet. So online wallets can either have the web version or the mobile version.

A hardware wallet which is a separate category of wallet can have its mobile version or desktop version too. I hope you get because I don't think I can break it down further.

Both wallets are good. But I prefer mobile wallets because they are safer and easy to use for everyone. They give you high security against hackers. They hold multi currencies. You can store your coins and tokens for exchange and trading.

Online wallet and mobile wallet both are very strong wallet but i prefer mobile wallet because it is very easy to access any time by mobile.Easy to store currency in any time when it reacquire. Mobile are very safety and without lossing seed phrase nobody couldn't access and this wallet transfer system very fast.In online wallet its via internet. This wallet transfer and withdraw system also first but this wallet has possibility to hacked any time. And without strong internet connect sometimes its would be difficult to access. That's why i prefer mobile wallet its my opinion.

Both the wallets online wallets and mobile wallets are best. Both are equally secure. Each of them owns its own features. Very easy to use and most secure and reliable. You can store your currencies in these wallets and also exchange these currencies.

All mobile wallets are still regarded as online wallets. But I think the topic started was a mistake, it should be web wallets and mobile wallets. As for me, I prefer mobile wallet, although I still desktop wallet than the two while hardware wallets are my best. But web wallets has been the ones I do not use at all.

    • Bitcoin 2 is a A EVM-compatible Bitcoin Fork With Real Time Settlement Satoshi got a lot  right about Bitcoin but a lot has changed since 2008. First off digital scarcity hadn't been discovered when Satoshi created Bitcoin. Now that digital scarcity has been bootstrapped we can make use if it in the protocol as a proxy for Schelling points.  This allows transactions to settle in real time and enables token holders to be paid validation fees which make the asset more valuable. Also, smart contracts didn't exist to the extent that they do today. Bitcoin 2 is an EVM compatible chain which means it has the same smart contract functionality as Ethereum. Bitcoin 2 was created by the infamous bonermuncher69 and is maintained by an anonymous set of core developers around the world. What's changed? Bitcoin 2 Is An EVM-compatible Chain This will give developers the opportunity to deploy smart contracts on Bitcoin 2. Being an EVM chain allows Bitcoin 2 to leverage all of the existing blockchain infrastructure built around Ethereum. Bitcoin 2 users can use EVM-chain wallets like Metmask and the Ethereum development community can deploy smart contracts to Bitcoin 2 using their favorite development tools. Bitcoin 2 Settles In Real Time. Bitcoin 2 has a new validation process to enable a better user experience when interacting with the protocol. Users send transactions to block proposers who include transactions in blocks in real time. That saves users from having to wait to see if their transition will be included in a block or not. Transactions are then validated by Bitcoin 2 token holders after the fact in 10 minute intervals like they were in Bitcoin 1. Transaction Fees are Paid to Validators As of 2024 Bitcoin users pay miners about $2M in fees every day. When Satoshi designed the Bitcoin protocol, digital scarcity had not been bootstrapped yet. Now that digital scarcity exists we can pay users for use of their coins in the validation process to build a Schelling point around each block. Turning Bitcoin into revenue generating asset makes holding the tokens more lucrative than Bitcoin 1. The Software is Rewritten From the Ground Up Bitcoin the software is not Bitcoin the token or Bitcoin the idea. The core node has been rewritten from the ground up in Rust. It has also been massively simplified where possible. What Stays The Same: There Will Only Ever be 21 Million Bitcoin 2 in Existence. Bitcoin 2 has zero inflation. Validators are paid soley by transaction fees. This makes Bitcoin 2 the most scarce digital asset in existence. The Set of Token Holders (at the 4th Having) Bitcoin 2 forked at the 4th halving: block 839,999. Any utxo in that set will be spendable on the Bitcoin 2 network. No new coins will be issued. That means, BlackRock, Micheal Saylor, Jack Dorsey and Elon musk all hold the keys to Bitcoin 2 tokens. Whether they spend them is still to be determined.
