Nice tutorial, Myetherwallet is indeed the best choice for newbies. I suggest creating a Myetherwallet wallet like the OP said and importing the private key to the kemetamask so you only need to enter MEW via metamask without needing to use the private key again.

Which is the best between myetherwallet and metamask.I have both accounts but can't figure out which one to run.

Maybe because myetherwallet was the first popular wallet to store ERC20-based tokens so at that time many people used the wallet to follow the airdrop. Now there are many more technological wallets but MEW is still used by many people

It is not the best but it is good especially for ERC20 and those who work in Airdrop and Bounty need this wallet, but I would recommend instead to Bounty and Airdrop Metamask wallet which is a wonderful and powerful portfolio and its options are better and deal with it easier as it has the advantage of detecting phishing sites.

I do not think here is any legit way which you can easily get back your private key of myetherwallet.

You should firstly go to the official website of myetherwallet. Then click on register option. Fill the form which appears. Then verify you email by the link sent in the email. And you should keep the key and the signature very safe and do not loose it. Otherwise there will be difficulty in accessing your wallet. You can log in with the key given to you. There is other options to log in. But i believe using the key will be safest.
