I think I got scammed! Someone wants me to send crypto to an unknown wallet address. What should I do?

Don't believe in such things. Scammers always have ways to keep you trapped. don't send your bitcoin to him. If your account believes that it is safe, don't easily believe such threats. he just wants your bitcoin.

it always happen to me. if you ever invest in ICO or join their bounties and airdrop that required your email address, you must be received some phising and fraud email. don't ever believe his messager or if the message contain some links, don't ever click his link. because those maybe will redirect you to phising site and contain some malware.

I think what you can do is to report it to the proper authority that can help to your problem and try to outsmart the scammer that wants to scam you and no matter what do not give you account and password.

You need to be aware before doing anything. I think you were wrong with your personal information when you were working on a site. Also, someone on your PC may have hacked and got your information.

I think you can disconnect your internet connection using that device and start to use another device, so you don't have to think about that hacker. While you disconnect the internet, you can begin to search for any suspicious links or data on your computer, or you can scan your computer with the recommended antivirus. Another thing you can do now not panic because of the hacker so you can think about how to get the solution besides what I suggest. Who knows that the hacker does not have your personal information, and he only wants to bluff you so you can send the money to him.

The next thing you supposed to do, is to cut off communication with that person. You should not send crypto to any unknown person

Thanks for all your comments!

I didn't send him/her any BTC and ignored the E-mail but there is something that still worries me. This scammer may have hacked my PC to gain access to my BTC wallet to steal my coins. If we suppose he has hacked my PC, do you think he can find my password and login data for any website I have visited? I didn't save my Yobit and Blockchain password on my browsers. I'm sure about myself but not sure about the hacker. If he finds my password, can he bypass Yobit 2FA by accessing my E-mail? Someone told me that a hacker can activate any kind of malware in your PC without being noticed by you. Some malware can even format your PC and delete all your files. Is this true?

New update!

I ignored his E-mail and scanned my computer. I also switched to normal user to limit accessibility for anyone who may hack and gain access to my PC. I limited admin rights so that no one can install, uninstall or delete vital files from my computer. And what do you think happened next?

To my surprise, when I checked my spam folder some days ago I saw that scammer has sent me another E-mail with the same content and threats but this time he has increased the ransom to $1000 worth of bitcoin! He had written a new BTC address in his new E-mail. He still claims that he has all my personal information and passwords. I ignored his E-mail again but why this scammer don't leave me alone? Is there anything I can do to blacklist his E-mails? Maybe this is just a ransomware and not a real human! What do you think?

I don't think it's necessary, unless your computer has a virus that can't be erased and they lock your important files.

There is another method scammers use to steal BTC from people through spam E-mails.

Once I received an E-mail with the following title:

" Congratulation! You won 10 BTC! "

Inside the E-mail, it was written: You are the lucky winner of 10 BTC because your name was chosen by random among others. We are glad to offer you this great opportunity! A bitcoin wallet address had been mentioned in the E-mail and the writer had asked me to send just 0.001 BTC to the mentioned address to receive my reward!

This is clearly a scam E-mail because no one will give you 10 BTC just for 0.001 BTC!! They ask you for low amounts on purpose to attract your attention but if they collect 0.001 BTC from just 100 people, they will earn $1000 per day easily! So, beware about this kind of fraud.

Do you know the zero day flaw? If you encounter a new virus then anti-virus software cannot detect it. You should install a firewall on your computer to prevent unauthorized files.

What do you mean by zero day flow? I have never heard about it. Please explain more. I have a powerful antivirus installed on my PC. My firewall is active too. There are two scenarios for hackers. Either they should break firewall barrier first and attack antivirus next or vice versa. I don't know which one resists against hackers first but I think antivirus kills malwares and firewall is like a shield that tries to prevent hackers from entering PCs. So, they are complements of each other. So, it seems impossible that a hacker could break both barriers, gains access to my PC and steal my passwords and information. This is something maybe 1 out of every 100 hackers can do! It is also probable that my antivirus has not been up to date at the time of attack.

I think all people should use their logic above sense. You can start by asking yourself where is my logic and then your head will start processing the fact and save you from all scams.

If you send your wallet address to a wrong account you will be scammed and your earnings will also be scammed. I think that you should not send your wallet address to that account

What you are talking about? You will get tracked only. That is the only thing will happen if you sent a wallet address to someone.

Some days ago, I received an E-mail in which someone had threatened me to publish my personal media files in social media groups. The title of the E-mail was my desktop password. This scammer told me that he now knows my password and has access to my computer and all my personal pictures and videos. Fortunately, I don't store my personal info on my PC and use an external hard drive for this kind of information. The E-mail contains a bitcoin wallet address and the scammer has asked me to send $500 worth of bitcoin to his wallet to forget about revealing my personal info on the web. I changed my password immediately after reading this E-mail and switched to normal user from admin to block everyone's access to the vital program files in my PC. I have never received such an E-mail before and I don't know how this scammer has managed to find my password. Maybe I visited a website that contained malware. My antivirus and anti-malware are always on. Anyway, what do you recommend me to do at this moment?

Well bro that virus is called ransomware wherein the hacker will lock or have an access to your pc and will lock all your files in your pc and to retrieve it or unlock all your files you need to give money, from the name also "ransom" ware which they want you to pay for them to let go of your data and if you manage to get out of that situation then maybe the hacker or virus isn't strong enough but little of advice, the virus is still in your pc the best solution is to format the pc, or you could search best solutions from internet.

I also often get emails filtered in a spam folder whose contents are a script, the contents of the message say that I get a paypal balance prize and have to confirm the link via email, and not infrequently also I get a link to claim a number of cryptocurrency, but I don't  ignoring too many unknown messages, especially if the message is in the spam folder ...

It was useless if you have anti-virus that was not updated because virus are also improving. Make a screenshot of this scammer and report it or you can just ignore it.

There are so many scammers around us. We have to be very careful with these types of persons. We have to think more than ten times before sending our money to unknown persons or any sites.

I recommend that you immediately go into the antivirus program and check the computer for the presence of a virus, after that you should contact a specialist, because the virus may not be visible to the antivirus. In general, I do not advise you to save your passwords on sites from your personal accounts.

It might be a way of intimidating you to send that amount.

Because if he truly had your password, ( just maybe)

He would logged you out of it. Or even change your password, in a way to tell you that he has control of your PC.

Does anyone besides you know your desktop password? I think just ignore it because you are sure you never save important data and there is no virus in your desktop 😅
