Why some people think long term holding is bad?

I don't even think that long term holding is bad because as I can see the value of different currencies increases as time goes by and that certain increase makes the long term holding good because we can make profit by holding a currency for the meantime.

For some people especially for trader or those trader then holding is not profitable because it takes time and that is their perception and for the holder then they are big holder and that gained really big in the future.

I think these people don't beleive on crypto. Also they don't have any idea about it's beauty. Currency always changable. And if crypto will be our future currency then we can think it can cross trillion of market.

imagine the people who bought bitcoin in December 2017 for $17,000 and insured for 2 years, how much damage do they have during those 2 years? But if they had sold when the price dropped to $16,000, they could buy when the price was $3300 and today they would make a profit of 3X. Hold is also very dangerous

Maybe the thought arises because within a certain time the price moves up and down. so we can trade our assets, automatically there is an opportunity to increase the amount. maybe sometimes you should try it too.

Maybe they will panic if the price is crashing or going down. But for me long term holding is not bad,it is good for the future because bitcoin price is increasing day by day. So if we have  more patience and wait for the right time of selling we can get a good result for our coins.

This is happening in crypto because its nature is unpredictable and its long term is not good as most of time we have short term so here most of peoples feel long holding is not working as this give some good profit in short term because many time prices go very high and then settle on normal which happened many times so mostly peoples do trades in this way to have good profit.
