Is Twitter Going Decentralized System with Blockchain?

Recommended Posts

I think it will be wonderful for Twitter and the CEO Jack Dorsey has shown an unparallel connection to Bitcoin ideology and decentralization. It means freedom, more efficiency and better security and Twitter is in dire need for all of these, otherwise I don't see it surviving the changes that are coming with Web 2.0.

It can be very possible to improve security of Twitter if it goes to merge with blockchain technology. Twitter is experiencing  some hacks in the past time. It will be good for Twitter to protect data of their users.

I haven't seen this tweet but probably it was a publicity stunt as immediately nothing like that can happen and perhaps it won't be possible even in longer term, although there can be blockchains that are centralized and fast and have little difference to the current twitter database systems.

How is Twitter going to be decentralize, it will be running on nodes worldwide and why would someone run the node. It will be probably many more servers connected together to provide some small scale decentralization with somone always in control.

Twitter in my opinion is useless, I don't know why you waste your time there, it is made for people of less intelligence to be manipulated by some cunning con artists that are now go by the name influencers. Decentralized or not I'm not going to use it.

If it is done correctly it could become decentralized and fire all those idiots that they have as customer support or security. Twitter is banning accounts for nothing just to give the usernames to some people, this is a ridiculous website and Jack is actually an average developer and not any high intelligent person that some want to make him look like.

I was going to be skeptical on these questions also, if at all twitter plans to be decentralised, are they planing to also introduce or develop their own coins?

Twitter is one of the leading social media site which after accepting crypto can become more popular. But it can also increase the number of crypto users because a lot of people will start having trust in cryptocurrencies.

Perhaps with their security problems a decentralized platform would help although we don't have many examples of similar networks. Tor is one and Bitcoin another one. These can be something they should do research and come with an innovation.

what do you think?

Like Face book who is Big giant of social media entered in the crypto world many of other platforms have start taken the interest and now the Twitter have start making plans for crypto adoption.Their for they will make strong and good project which will be a good thing because like other giants Twitter also  take payments for promotion through banks. If they brought their own crypto currency they will get more cap in market and generate strong hold in crypto market.

This is good to know that twitter is plans to make a decentralized system. I am think that with blockchain it can become one and this will help twitter to be better with many ways, maybe with the security that we now know it is a big problem for them.

That would obviously not only be a milestone for Twitter but for main social media in general. However, I doubt that the inclusion of blockchain technology had any benefit for the platform in terms of decentralization because the platform itself has a CEO, who could still take decisions in a centralized and arbitrary manner.

I think this is a good step if they are trying to root out their social media platform to the Blockchain so it will be good for cryptocurrencies world in future.

Twitter continues to delete accounts because a well-known figure disapproves of another's point of view. It's an Orwellian universe where everyone they don't like is silenced. I doubt Jack Dorsey understands what decentralization is, and I doubt he will ever be able to produce anything useful.
