Old fashioned people don't know the advancements of this technological era and most of them are not willing to accept the technology and advancements. So it is difficult to explain the functionality of bitcoins to them unless they themselves use this coin.

Bitcoin is the future of all currencies.  Most people don't believe in it because they dont see it. Trying to convince old people to understand bitcoin is very difficult because they are people who belive in their own ways.  But it will be good if they understand bitcoin.

Yeah, presenting an informational video is a great idea, teaching them about the basics of cryptocurrency is also good, just be patient and expect that it would be hard to teach an old person because crypto world is such broad thing, there are a lot of information under it.
