It could be a person or a group of people. Nobody knows, it is completely anonymous. Maybe one day we will know who he is, so to prove that he is he I have no idea how it could be. We will probably never know. The way he hidden tracks and kept his privacy means that it was so difficult to be found that perhaps nobody cares to spend an eternity looking. It doesn't matter either as the early mined coins of the Satoshi wallets didn't move with Bitcoin reaching 20,000 dollars so this means that whoever satoshi is he or she lost or destroyed the keys to access these Bitcoins.

It seems he is the creator of digital money. I don't think that anything like that existed before. The only decentralization I know was limited and was in Tor nodes and in P2P bittorrent network and nothing else. Bitcoin is a completely unique decentralized network that never existed before. I think it will be some person that we never seen. He knows how to hide and this is not by exposing in the media but being between millions of people. I think he probably is alive and that he is looking in bitcoin news only sporadically and not all the time, and he is happy for what he accomplished.

We haven't seen such a big invention since the internet and Satoshi instead of giving it to some government he gave it to the world, making it open source and allowing a new market of digital currencies to open. This is the gift of Satoshi and if he doesn't want to be found we shouldn't be looking.

Many are trying to find but we don't know and we will never know because 10 years have past and nobody still knows. Even if Satoshi wanted to appear again nobody will believe him. Even if it was Craig Wright which is something very difficult he can't convince anybody.
