The Difference between 'Digital Currency' and 'Cryptocurrency'

This is a good explanation. I think that many fail to grasp the notion that cryptocurrency is merely just a type of digital currency and that there are other sorts of digital currencies that do exits that are not within the scope of the crypto world. To be honest, i myself in my early stages of crypto usage and interest used to make use of these two terms interchangeably, believing them to imply the same thing, however i later came to learn the difference through research. In my personal opinion, i think that educating people on digital currencies as a whole will be a huge stepping stone in bridging the gap between the current financial systems and cryptocurrencies.

Well thanks for this information mate. I really didn't know there is difference between them. Cryptocurrency is indeed a digital currency. So we can say that all cryptocurrencies are digital currency but all digital currency is not cryptocurrency.  That how we can understand the difference.

My friend, both cryptocurrencies and digital currencies are basically digital currencies, meaning written highly counting systems in order for the hardware processor to understand automatically.
