As long as you can find the recommended cryptocurrency wallet, and you can download it from the source, you will be safe. There is a much cryptocurrency wallet that you can download, Coinomi, Atomic, JAXX, is the wallet that contains a bitcoin and altcoin wallet so you can save many coins in that wallet. Electrum, Mycelium, Bitcoin-qt are the wallet to store your bitcoin. But my advice is you better to buy a hardware wallet because that is safer than to use the crypto wallet apk. The hardware wallet is not connected to the internet connection if you don't want to make a transaction.
