When it comes to arguing PoS based blockchain network decentralization they usually put coins distribution on the first place saying: "look, Top 5 entities own more than half of the stake". More advanced also highlight attacks on the voting mechanism: how many entities can block or force a proposal (which is actually a changing value).

However it's not that straightforward, because once you are in a Proof-of-Stake network it's not just rewards but also Value at Risk. At the end of the day it's risk/reward ratio that matters when it comes to economic incentives and it's only if we assume all agents are rational!

What I was always wondering about Tezos, is what they plan to create? All I read is about staking rewards and the price. This post gives as an idea that it is decentralized, but I haven't understood what exactly is the point in Tezos and what are the goals of this project. They want to become a platform like Ethereum or something different. Usually a project comes with having a core idea that it can solve a problem or many problems. I haven't found yet what Tezos is actually doing, so I will welcome any replies to my question.

I will take some time later and read the article, I hope to find something useful for Tezos, as I am interested in decentralization and anything else seem to be vulnerable, as we have seen in the case of Ripple and XRP, and how a  company running a currency can easily be taken down in just hours.
