What is Portfolio? (explanation)

Yep, it contains all of your investments and some provides a graph or chart of your total investments on each coin or token that you invested on. I think it is really helpful that there are applications where you can see your portfolio, because you can manage your investments easily.

Yes I agree with you, that portfolio makes it easier for you to check your investment (different coins/tokens) and check out how price going.

I dont know if you are new in crypto or you did not read at all topic and previous commnets but what you write in your posts is not same what I mean in this topic.

I'm talking about Cryptocurrency portfolio which means that you insert your investment in Cryptocurrency not "real estate" not "past works" etc.

This is Cryptocurrency forum and I'm talking about Cryptocurrency, as simple as that.

Please try next time just start with fact that this is Cryptocurrency forum, and at least read previous comments.

Are portfolios really that necessary? Wallets especially the mobile ones are capable of performing all the tasks that a portfolio will offer, I stand to be corrected, but I think there's really no need for portfolios if you own a wallet

You have portfolio mobile app too, but I understand what you want to say.

There are some mobile (desktop too) wallets which can give you same function like portfolio, total investment (coins), profit/loss etc.

Point is that all depend which wallet you use, and can you saw/follow same things on that wallet like with portfolio.

Answer on your question is that depend which wallet you use, if you dont have functions like on portfolio app then will be easier to use portfolio to follow your investments.

There is not hard about portfolio, let me make a clear example, you 10 cryptocurrencies you are tracking, you can open google sheet, write them their, or making use of app for such, checking the price and studying the prices. This is an example of portfolio, is has nothing to do with what you are posting here.

Portfolio is not supposed to be an app, but there could be an app called portfolio possibly an will perform the work of portfolio. But, there are many apps that are portfolio, also know that you can use a book and pen to create your portfolio and track the price of cryptocurrencies, it depends on what you like.

But I want to know some things, like for example how you will calculate (amount+price) how much in fiat value you have coins? And how much time you need to calculate all your coins/tokens and total value of that coins/tokens in fiat value? And one more thing, you will calculate every day your est. value of coins tokens? Do you maybe thing that is too much to work and you can simple use app for that? Or use some web portfolio?

I just used that as an example, to make your work simple, you can have your portfolio on sites like some exchanges that support it, but I make use of coinmarketcap for this, it is easy to know, and the price can be easily known ones you set the price and save the coins of interest.

"book and pen" is not good example for portfolio because it's does not have sense.

But you could to write about web portfolio, and some facts from your experience.

If you have investments in few coins/tokens it easier to use portfolio for sure.

I too agree with you, like I have ones commented, I only used it as an example for people to understand, but if I want to have my portfolio, it is online based which is better, easily and best to go for.

Good explanation. The role of an investment portfolio is like a basket of assets or cryptocurrency that can hold Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple XRP....etc and more. Generally the investors or traders use this tactic to control many cryptocurrencies, and to manage or tracking their investments use the portfolio as method for their coins/tokens.

Portfolio management is the first Thing that everyone coming for Crypto field should needs to learn. And if we could divide our portfolio into low risk coin and high risk coin then it would be helpful at the time of investment.

Personally, I use CoinStats Application for Portfolio management and until now it's very helpful for me. As I can see my portfolio performance so much easily, organised in single place. I think every trader's should use any Portfolio management apps. It makes whole thing easier.
