Bitcointalk is the No. 1 forum in the crypto world. I think its viewership has dropped and its decline is due to the overly strict merit system.

We can no longer create a free account on bitcointalk because it has a fee, And in order to rank we need to have merit that we know will be very difficult to provide even if we are quality posters.

Might be. Also, google trends are a good indicator for the price of Bitcoin. However, cartels don't work like that. First they pump the price then everybody started to enter the market because of positive news.

its because people are going away from crypto world, if the hype returns in the market lots of the viewers will return to bitcointalk too

I do agree with you. Due to its strict implementation of merit, a lot of people chose to look for another forum that could let them earn cryptos without that merit thing. That's why I'm here.

I have a full member account in bitcointalk and even if I posted quality post, I can't still get a merit. I can't apply in signature campaign because they required number of merit. And I'm pretty sure that the decrease of bitcointalk's website viewers is due to its merit system.

Yes I think that the price of bitcoin does correlate with the popularity and traffic of bitcointalk.

When bitcoin starts to moon rocket again then hype will drive a lot more users to forums.

I believe we will see the same thing some day here on cryptotalk.

And I also see that Bitcointalk's bounty is weak,  And It's only growing because of the Cryptotalk Sig camp.

They should remove their merit system because it is not working properly. It's hard to say but others are also earning it by selling merit that shouldn't be done.

Yeah, it's all about money. Merit is not an effective way to maintain a quality post. The admin should be active everyday. Why don't they use cryptotalk strategies and apply it to their forum? It is much better than the merit system.

I agree with you completely. It is nearly impossible to climb the ranks. You can write quality posts and you will not get any merit. 
The rat race between the members to get merits is frustrating.

I don't think bitcoin affect the price because of bitcointalk downfall, I don't see the connection, maybe because of the name bitcoin?. Anyway about bitcointalk, it is now hard to get rank up in that forum because of the merit system. They are really now overly strict, your comment needs to be an essay so they will not delete your post and if you make one line post, but constructive, they will delete it. MODS and DT members are insane.

Also, Someone gave me 10 Merits and forum members asked my post, They alleged that my friend had given it to raise my rank which I did not do.

So the forum policy is really difficult and if you are an unknown member, you are automatically banned.

They'll automatically banned your account without knowing the reason. My account got banned permanently. I've emailed them, but nothing happens. I can't really say it was due to shit posting because I never did that though.

Now, if someone gives you merit, they'll think that it's one of your multiple accounts or friends, and they'll ban you permanently. And that is so annoying.

You have to gain merit with those well-known accounts so that you will not questioned on where you get your merit.

Seems like you requoted yourself in both paragraphs, anyways, while I agree with you that the rules might be to limit or eliminate spammers, there are good quality post in there that still don't get merited and it just takes longer and longer for you to make it to the next level.

My mistake, and you're right, there are many publications that have not yet deserved, but there are many users that are sources of merit that have threads created to place such publications, it is just a matter of searching. The issue of making new accounts in Btt represents a very hard work if you want to accommodate about 1000 merits apart from the activity.

For sure, when i heard the word bitcoin talk then i feel very un comfortable becoz they does not have the fair system for regulation and rules they are always asking for money if someone goes aginst policy violation with just posting a link of simple website lol. I does not personally like bitcoin talk and i though the bitcoin talk will down and cryptotalk will win all other forums users in the future. The number of viewers on Bitcointalk decreased for several reasons, I don't think it is related to the price of Bitcoin. The number of people participating in the Bitcointalk bounty campaign is very large and now that so many scam campaigns have made many bounty hunters no longer participate. And one more reason that some people have the right to give themselves to others to red trust.

Bitcointalk use to be the only and major success of information for Bitcoin and Blockchain in the early days. So it is natural it gets lot of traffic as more people coming to crypto want information.

But now, there are more major success of information, so it natural for people to look else where for quality information.

Another thing is Bitcointalk is not mobile responsive, which is why it is missing lots of traffic. Stats is that there are more mobile web surfers than desktop web surfers.

All the crypto space is down man there used to be so many people on twitter, many capitulated at 3k drop, many sold at a loss, fear of never coming back and just getting "some" of ur money back etc,who remember the days when blockfolio would crash cuz too many ppl were refreshing it at the same time ? 🤣🤣

I agree with the way that a forum should be done to become a bigger forum, for example to provide the opportunity to join together in this forum and give attractive prizes
