How many coins/tokens do you think will survive after 2020 ?

I think 2020 will be the year of cryptocurrency. there are two reasons that come to mind for this.

1-Bitcoin halving in may 2020: When we look at the history of bitcoin, there is a direct correlation between bitcoin halving and its price. For example, bitcoin increased nearly 9000% in latest halving pricing in 2017.

2-Global Economic Crisis: It may sound a little crazy, but I'm expecting a global economic crisis, and this will affect the price of bitcoin. Because bitcoin is the emergency exit gate of the economic crisis. For example, Bitcoin make a new ath in argentina in the past months. Because people wanted to protect their money from inflation and the safest port for it was bitcoin.

I think there will be the top few. LTC BTC etc... And not many more than that which exist now will be worth anything much. I think Doge is one to watch massively for the future. People love it and it's so stable.

Forgot to mention that Etherium is going to be an important player too. I think eth is massively underrated and underpriced. The tech is being apoted in a big way and will be relied on hugely in the future as new stable coins are created against its value.

Not only the top few once but many more than that will exist too as they are doing a lot of stuff maintain themselves and grow in future and actually if you see on return wise you will get much in altcoins with little low cap, it's just to choose wisely.

As the surviving chance of the coins are very rare, because if notice, some coins last for only few weeks and some for just year, so may be ETH, BTC & Doge are the long term coins.

Well, it is hard to prophesy. The number of survivors may increase or decrease because more and more new blockchain projects are accomplishing a new use case.

I am glad if all platforms can survive because it indicates that the blockchain is evolving. So my prognostication will be almost 5000 or more.

Let's retreat to this thread at the end of 2020.

That's a wide list of coins which can't be said so easily, it requires proper research if you want to invest, what my point was is that if you invest in a little small cap legit coin your returns will be higher.

Yes, nowadays many coins have lost their volume due to fact people are now aware and know exactly where to invest, it's hard for shit coins to last longer.

Coins and tokens will survive a lot. I think even some will try to revive. How many more will there be? Great multitude. It's all logical and predictable. Yes, many of them will be lost, but only those who will not stand the test of time.

Not much will survive as you can see the affect now that those coins have no volume and almost lost their price their team is not doing anything and this is also because majority wants only money and not to offer anything also more will be added but much will go to waste.

I believe that about 50% of the current coin will survive but many of them will have almost no value,and therefore they will be useless...

I would tend to agree with your estimate.  Too many coins to keep track of, most will be unknown to even the most savvy investors.  There has to be a shaking down...

No, it's simple fundamental analysis as you can see most of the projects in crypto world are just for money and not to offer anything good. And it does not mean vanishing of coin by this it means that those coin will have no volume, their team will be missing, exchanges will start delisting and would termed as dead coin.

Yes and you can find those coins now itself at some extent as those coins will not be having much news and it comes of rarely over the time, the volume has slightly started decreasing, very limited talk on their telegram channel and what they have to offer does not feel necessary.

Trash/useless/worthless project will be dead for sure and will not survive. Only good altcoins and project will survive in 2020, mostly are top 100 altcoins based on coinmarketcap imo.
