Good reputation doesn’t depends on creating a topic or post a comment, that's what I think.

Because good reputations depends on how unique and good quality your is. When we're creat a topic, we can get so ideas from others and when we comment, we share our opinion with others. If our post or comment has a quality and others get help, we can get many reputations.

So we should concentrate to improve our writing skill.

Therefore, commenting on others' posts and choosing the old posts is better and more secure for the continuity of calculating comments and taking wind on them

Well a topic can give someone more reputation,  but this doesn't mean a comment can not. Reputation is something which actually depends on the quality of the content you are writing .

I think you will have a good reputation in both if you agree with the necessary topics or comments.  But if you want to get more fame, it is best to create a topic for you.  Because when you create a topic, it catches everyone's eye but the comment doesn't catch everyone's eye...

prefer creating topic one. Because when someone create own topic then every one will give reputation and will follow that person while making comment on topic is not a big deal and mostly no one give any response to comments.

This is why creating topic has more value compare to other one.

But due to my experience creating new topic cause a more reputations than posting. I will tell you dear to avoid to make too many posts, because you will be in a trouble if they are posts with no meaning or duplicate. My posts were all delete for there are similar posts in the forum and I have taken two warnings for this. I made the posts very good and also was gaining a lot of reputation. But this again made my reputation count go above others and I was again in trouble. So my answer is no, make posts but only about something that you are certain it is not in the forum.

I think creating topic is more good and by this you will receive more repetition but for it you have to make a good struggle and to make a useful topic because many topics are not receiving good reputation and people or not liking it so for it you have to give information your topic.
