Can people steal my Bitcoin?

Recommended Posts

I do not think that anyone can steal your Bitcoin because it is in your wallet and you are the only one that has its own passwords and keys, so you should take care of them well from losing and do not disclose them to anyone. You only have to pay attention and be careful.

This is one of the questions I get asked most often, and it’s easy to see why. Unlike cash or transitional investments you are responsible for storing your own crypto safely.

How does storing cryptos work?

  • Cryptos are stored in a digital wallet.
  • This wallet has a private and a public key.
  • The private key allows you to transfer funds out of it. The public key allows you to transfer funds into it.
  • If you lose your public key, you can still access it with your private key.
  • If you lose your private key, you lose assess to your wallet’s funds.
  • If someone discovers your private key, they gain access to your funds.

It’s as simple as that.

So, as you can see, it’s extremely important that you keep your private key, well, private.

@Robrey17 frankly I doesn't have any information about it but your post had explained it very well so thanks for the post now I try my best to keep safe my keys so that my currency will in safe zone.

Oh yes. It very possible for these scammers to steal your btc if you are not watchful and discrete. Some of these sites will ask for your wallet key so they can give you bonus based on your balance. Once you enter your key into the site, that's the end.

My friend by nature everyone should be a little careful about this subject, because it is very dangerous, and you can not trust people in the world of encryption, do not give your codes to anyone, keep them to yourself, and don't trust anyone, make sure a little and just keep your privacy for you.

Your money cannot be stolen if you store it properly and in a safe place. You must choose reliable digital wallets and not share your private keys and passwords with anyone and do not deposit money in any untrusted sites so as not to lose money, as for the public keys can be shared with everyone in order to receive money on them

So bitcoin can be stolen in different aspect.  The most important thing is to safely secure our wallet and other password that can get access to our exchange. Yes people can steal your bitcoin if you have shared your personal information with anyone. A hacker must need your Gmail account your password and your phone number for stealing your bitcoin. So try to make your password strong and not to share your privacy with anyone else. Because your privacy is your responsibility.

Its name is private key, though this we should be aware that we shouldn’t talk in public about its privacy.  As the private key is the key by which we can protect our coins, so we should keep this carefully.  Thanks for your important advice.  Hopefully we will keep it safe

Creating a very strong password is very important when making any registrations in a new website, especially the one that have to do with monetary aspect. Hackers easily hack accounts that have a weak password.

It is very advantageous and at the same time dangerous, to keep a personal wallet, which contains the security of private keys, but it is always good to have one since you maintain 100% access and security of that wallet, the only disadvantage is that if you lose the 12 seed phrases and your password, you lose all the funds you had in that wallet.

If you safely store Bitcoin in your wallet then no one can steal your BTC in your wallet. I use hardware wallet & hackers can't hack hardware wallet easily. They steal your BTC if they know wallet private key.

Bitcoin is a digital currency.  Bitcoin is a very valuable currency. Bitcoin needs a lot of protection. Bitcoin can be protected through blockchain. Bitcoin is a product of blockchain. It is impossible to steal bitcoin from blockchain.  Blockchain is a different kind of technology. Those who have Bitcoin must protect Bitcoin through Blockchain.  Thank you

First lesson I learn after adoption in crypto world was to secure your private key and never expose it to anyone. After that I write down my private key in my Ledger, never safe in my browser. Which can be hacked easily, I never use mobile apps for my ERC20 wallet. I have placed the anti-virus and fire wall active for better security also I never allowed any other person to use my laptop for crypto because if lend my laptop and he made any mistake which cause me later hacking is my loss. Making sure to keep my wallet safe is top priority of mine.

Yes, It a have got to our crypto  not merely bitcoin be capable of  stolen from our wallet account. but to sneak a BTC from your wallet a hacker needs to own get into to your gmail, or to you passwords, or to retain your mobile phone. If a hacker doesn't know any of this how does he experience about your wallet anyways, it is enormously that inhibit hackers  and other scammers from stealing you privileged basis which on transform would command to stealing you bitcoin.

You should, before depositing your money into any wallet, be aware of it and whether it is a trusted site. Or a fake site that seizes your money. Original wallets need full documentation for you to ensure that you and your money are protected from hackers.

Friend, firstly it is very hard and not easy to steal the private keys or to hack the wallets because these are highly secured but hackers are very bad things they can do it by any way. They can't steal directly your private keys from your wallet first they access to your basic data by malware and then can be stolen. But my suggestion is that don't use any useless websites and don't click on the eye catching offering links. Always use secure wallets.
