The save draft feature is very useful

Recommended Posts

I had to close my firefox browser because it was using a lot of memory, and I had prepared a reply to a topic on this forum. I forgot to copy it out of the browser before I closed it so when I opened firefox again I though I had lost the reply forever, but actually the cryptotalk forum had saved the draft for me. So next time your browser closes know that your replies are safe.

Yes I noticed that too, many times I exist from this site but when I come back I find my post still there, this is a good feature in this forum, sometimes we forget what we were writing but this feature solved it

Yes it is. It is absolutely awesome. When i cut the browser or by mistake put my back button i thought my whole creation was deleted but it wasn't. I am really pleased by this feature.

Well, yeah, they have a feature like that, but sometimes it didn't work for me, and I know it also happens to everyone, right? But in all save draft feature is excellent for those who are busy and doing so many things in their phone or pc, and maybe it can also use a trick to consuming less time in posting for example you've done posting to lessen the time in your next posting you will choose the topic and type your content and leave it right there and wait for the cooldown or interval of your previous post, and after that, you could just hit the submit reply button and then you can do that over again, it was great right?.

It also track your ip address

IP address is not the sole benchmark on how the admins detect that you're using the same device. As far as I know, they have already cleared this fact, though I can't remember which topic it was replied to by one of the admins.

If IP address is used, then there is higher chance that the IP you are using, has already been used by other people with accounts here in the forum. You must understand that ISPs give IP address dynamically, unless you bought a static IP address for you to use (useful for running a server). If you're just a regular subscriber, then every time your router or mobile data connects and disconnects to the internet, you are assigned with a new (reused) IP address that is currently unused.

This feature allows server to read your connection in real time

They might be mainly tracking with cookies. And the auto-save feature, I believe lies within the back-end (server side), with timeouts set to not trigger a save and execute a command to the server every key press in the textbox. Once the system detects you have stopped typing for a specific duration, it then sends the data to the server of the content you had already in place, effectively saving what you are typing.

My ISP uses NAT technology to put all their subscribers under one IP address, which changes practically every day. I wonder how that would affect the admins' ability to distinguish different forum users from each other.

This features was very helpful for me because I usually touch the homescreen because of the chats on social media. This saves my time and effort for writing a post.

Of course it is very useful because when you accidentally closed your browser the comment that you wrote are still in there and you can continue it. Save draft is very useful feature in this forum.

We do not need draft features on cryptotalk for now. What do we need it for. It is already in the rules, 30 post daily.

A draft is when you save a post into the website without publishing it on the forum. It does not count towards your daily posts.

I think your writing is automatically saved when you have typed. So why do you propose something that already exist?

Yes this also happened with me. But when we write the posts and not submit it but leave it, and the page refreshes by mistake the post remains as a draft which is great.

yes, it is also useful for example you are making a post now but you want to post it tomorrow because the quota for today has reached the maximum, then the draft can be very useful.
