Its very inconvenient to trade without any exchange i don't think there will be loss in trade with exchange as the rate is already low it already below 1% so its better to trade with exchange.

You can trade without using an exchange through localbitcoins. This is an established site that promotes peer-to-peer exchange of Bitcoins and has rankings and trust of the traders involved.

Of course you can do trading without exchange.And for that you have to trade in person.If you are trading with a person, your exchange will continue.

Hi my friend, for my experience on trading i can say yes! It is possible with brokers to trade but you must pay higher fees! With exchangers it is good because of small fees to pay! Good luck!

Over on bitcointalk there's a currency exchange section where people do deals all the time, and I've bought bitcoin there with no problems.  There are also members who trade bitcoin for other alts and a bunch of other deals.  But as with any P2P transaction, you have to watch out for scammers.  If you go that route and your counterparty isn't trusted (or even if he is), use an escrow if possible.  They have escrows on bitcointalk that don't charge much for their services, and believe me it's worth it

The exchanges are the very good platform for trading in the coins. I am trading in the coin of the exchange and also earn good profits. If the exchanges did not exists then we buy or sell the coins through the agents.

It is possible doing trade without exchanges as right now we have many members involving in telegram facebook twitter discord and bitcointalk doing this all but many times we still need some things to manage like escrow or price which are better available on exchanges as we can do this all on them without any big trouble and feel safe because on P2P is some time scammers can cheat you which mean lost of money and some big troubles for you and your family.

It's possible to but the fee will sure will be high since it's we need to paying for those and it's have scheme with escrow system, OTC Methode was really good too by making smart contract to execute that (For ethereum based project) With more low fees.

If you want to trade then you must trade in any sector to trade. If you trade through a person, you do not need to exchange.

If you don't want to trade in exchange you can trade from person to person like friends and family you buy bitcoin from exchange or person with some price and sell theme to other person with little higher price , it's a trade but not in exchange.

Author probably wasn't trying to trade on a DEX, he wanted to forgo exchanges all together. A DEX is really just an exchange that has no head or centralized company. The reason why exchanges even exist is so you can trade on them. It wouldn't be safe to trade off of an exchange.
