to me they seem to be a very good opportunity to enter in some interesting project early but it has much more risks. in case the altcoins are of higher risk than bitcoin and the ICO/IEO are still more risky. but I believe that if one looks and studies well the project can come out very well since there are MANY scams. but I believe that if you make sure that it is a serious project it is worth it.
