Is there an etiquette on what situations dislike button should be used?

I keep the negative evaluation aside and I do not use it except in severe cases when I find a member talking nonsense or posting spams or writing in a local language that most of the members do not understand or recommending something that I know for sure that it is a scam, aside from all these cases I do not think that passive reputation should be used at all.

In most considerable manner. Dislike button which is literally known as negative reputation is always giving on the opposite post of good content, helpful, useful and informative post.

It is giving to posts that are not really on point and not well articulated.

Obviously this is an important issue. When we give reputation points, we should give them in mind, not randomly. Also, we should not give negative ratings to every post that we don't like. In other words, we should give negative points to members who have too many errors or share false information.

Thank you my friend to mention this topic here.I also think that a dislike option was a better option for this site.By this dislike option we can easily found spam and copy post.If someone found that his replies was copied and used somewhere then he can dislike and report that reply.

Actually I generally utilize the intensity of my response as indicated by the subject I don't fix who transferred it just I see that if the subject is acceptable I respond in a positive manner and if in futile a remarkable inverse.

Well, there is no barrier to your use of the do not like button, but you have to consider the times of its use, you use it when you see that this person provides wrong information or unhelpful content and when his comment is less than 100 characters

I don’t think it will be good for everyone. It's not an etiquette to dislike anybody. You can report them if you think they are wrong. But without judge if you can't give dislike. So it will be not good in this forum.

The sad button is used when the post is harmful or spam or duplicated. must be used bad reputation button Also whenever we see bad or spam post . Giving a bad reputation will always be an objective so that we cannot approach the post as bad topic because of the person behind it.

Everyone knows that this feedback system changed since June last year and since then the feedback system is better because it helps a lot to rate a topic or publication according to its content, the big problem is that there are many members who are not objective when it comes to reactions to a publication and thus making the mistake of giving good reputation to topics of poor quality and for this you can receive warning points.

Thank you my friend for creating this informative topic about ratings. But I would like to tell you now the rating method has been changed as there are the rating depends from -5 to +5. Which does mean that the useful posts deserve the positive rating from +1 to +5, and the useless posts deserve the negative rating from -1 to -5.

Yes, it is true, but some members use disliking for revenge, or because of unrelated personal situations if the topic is good or bad, such matters negatively affect the forum and the members as well.

Both has their own usefulness once you like a post you can react to it by clicking on the like sticker and if a post is not suitable for you or meaningless you can choose to use the dislike sticker it depends on your choice.

Sincerely I have not yet used it before, and probably that is due to the fact that I have not noticed it prior to reading this post, and as for me, I don't think I can use the dislike button, I would rather skip the post that I don't like rather than giving it a dislike posts.
