Do we need to HODL Crypto until the price goes up?

Yes mate I agree with you, we don't need to HODL our cryptocurrency till it price rise, we need to trade cryptocurrency every day because that is the essence of it creation, but I think some people who are financially okay prefer to  store than to sell cryptocurrency on daily basis.

It is not totally a wrong idea to hold some cryptocurrency till the prices rise up , note that not all people will hold because some are always in a desperate need for some money and they will sell everything they gain so there will always be part of the money in a constant circulation.

Of course we should hold the cryptocurrency until the market value of the cryptocurrency rises.  Because at present the market value of almost all cryptocurrencies is very low so if I hold the cryptocurrency then the next time when its market value increases to the highest level then I will get much more profit by selling that cryptocurrency.

There are some coins/tokens suitable for long term investments and some others are suitable for short term scalps.

 

In my opinion, hodling is good only if your trade is going well and you have take profit points still not reached yet. If you are in a losing trade and the coin broke it's major trend supports downward, hodling will just lose you money in short and mid term. Even in the long term, the coin may not come back to these prices you have bought it.

 

So stop loss is important for losing short-term trades but they should be correctly placed.

If someone have got cryptocurrencies as payment from faucets and other forums like this. Then there is nothing bad in immediately selling it. But if someone have invested in some coin, then he must hold it until price increases.

I don't think Holds are stupid, because they bring unexpected profits. It all depends on your trading style. And your trading personality. They are short term traders or day traders. then you have long term traders or swing traders. There is no set rule on how to trade. You can actually profit from keeping some strong currencies until their prices rise. It's good, but actually daily trading is more profitable than other work.

You have a wrong idea about investing in long term because this happen only to the currencies we analyze and see there will be a huge increase in price in future not to any currency 

For example in 12-18 months ETH will reach 10000$ so it's totally good idea to invest in it and hold until then instead of trading for those who are not always free for daily trading
