I prefer hardware wallets like ledger nano and trezor, I also like another called coldcard but coldcard can be only used by experts as it is not newbie friendly at all. They are the safest to be using.

I just only use myetherwallet, trust wallet, and blockchain wallet. Using these three i guess I can hold anything or any kind of token even not an erc20 coins. Personally, I use trust wallet to handle tokens mostly. It is very safe (doing the backup obviously) and I have not had any problems with it. It is very practical when it comes to exchanging tokens using decentralized exchanges and it is not necessary to add the token data before sending it to the wallet, you just make the transfer and the app recognizes the token itself.
