I feel very sorry for all those people that have lost bitcoin for various reasons. Some users have just lost their private keys, others might have made an error on sending bitcoin to wrong address, and others might have not been able to fix their crashed computers. That's impossible to recover now and maybe considered as wasted, things like that happens it will not be considered as a burned coins in Bitcoin because it cannot be recovered anymore only a miracle and in the future will worth so much.

I remember reading this story, It was sad and funny at the same time as this person was actually spenting much time in the junkyard his garbage was thrown, digging and searching for his hard-drive. What happens is that in almost every junkyard there are scavengers that pick any electronic device and sell it for a small amount to companies that are buying scrap. The devices that are whole are not recycled into metal but are sold into massive electronic graveyards located in China and a few african counties, where workers take out everything usefull from them and use it on new devices.

They probably did not believed that Bitcoin will become one of must popular cryptocurrency now, but in any case he make big mistake. I read some article that a lot of Bitcoin are in wallets which were not used long time but that can means that someone just hold or they lost like you say private key and it can be said that are lost forever.

Because of that people must to know that private key are very important thing, like which I read a lot "not your keys not your wallet" a very instructive sentence.
