Don't trust those emails many of them are scammers and they can get you in a trap and steal your money. I think bitcointalk announcements you will saw them in their forum and not an email like that.

Obviously a phising email. Similar I get are going instantly to the spam folder. 

In case of opportunities that might be interesting take a look at the sender address. They might be some email domain that is certainly a scam. In case you want to be sure you can find the official website of the project/platform and ask them there if this email was coming from them.

Many people get a lot of emails of this kind that claim to be from a reputable coin team while they actually are not related to the team by any form, they are trying to get some kind of sensitive information like Private key from you or they will tell you in that link to send funds to a specific address, in your case they are claiming to be from Brave browser team, they definitely got your email from somewhere that sells masses of emails that were entered in crypto related websites so they most likely will not stop sending these emails and next time they could claim to be from another coin and change their strategy too, so be careful and do not ever click on links in your emails unless you are 100% sure about the source.

Its a trick. That message is now been to loads of clients around 2-3months prior. You can simply browse the sending email and you will see that the email isn't from the Brave group so be cautious on focusing on those sort of messages.

It seems curious but I also received this email but it actually looked too good to be true so I went to the official Brave website to check if what was announced in the email was correct and that information was nowhere to be found, so I sensed that it was a scam.

I have mixed feelings regarding brave browser, i mean, its a great browser, no adds and I feel safe using it, really cool system. the thing is that the BAT model dont work for me, they force me to use a uphold wallet and in fees, the value of the tokens get desintegrated, i managed to send my bat to my trust wallet and it cost me like 5 bucks to do it then to withdraw it would be a mininum of 10 bucks, so a year of using the browser for just 10 bucks?! this is nuts, and that is why that part of the browser didnt work for me. but get what i can and i will continue to use it because of the security meausres.

We have to be cautious and careful with these fake news, which only are interested in stealing your money and make you mistrust in some safe websites by falsifying his identity. The best way to not get caught in those scams is to deeply investigate the new and confirm the veracity of the information, if you do this it'll be almost impossible to you to let them fool you ^^.
