Hot wallet or cold wallet is better than crypto custodians as what I have understand to it's meaning base on your description. Though many are still using crypto custodians because it is user friendly, so it's up for anyone on what they like to use.

If this is the case then what is the responsibility of a crypto custodian? Seriously why would anyone want to have a service like this? It is just like an online wallet service that provides nothing useful. What they do more? They would probably ask for KYC and even more personal information, phone numbers etc. and in case of hack they will call and claim that someone hacked his account? This is unreal.

Crypto Custodian is an institution that is responsible for securing the financial assets of one company or individual. Where he will act as a collective custody of crypto assets. Crypto whales requires the existence of this custodian because there is a legal basis that can be used as a guide. even though they have to pay a fee every month, you're right for us custodian cryto is not needed.

If you are worry on your assets then buy a hard wallet for your crypto or otherwise do not give your crypto to custodians. It can be stolen or disappear

So i know it who is the man.In this way naney people earn money by it.it is mejhinking about what crypto custodian, actually Crypto custodian is very important to hold Crypto and trade. In a custody relationship, the bank or custodian has no right to lend out your assets to anyone. Instead, they are only allowed to store it and secure it on your behalf.

Well they more likely that provide assistance to other people that needs help and sometimes they provide  different services to the members that request services, and before being a custodian they have to be an expert in their field.

Giving the crypto to custodians is a good choice because it is tension free investment than trading or holding. And there are scams ..but in giving your crypto in right hands will give profit.
