The difference between a coin and a token.

I remember that I confused these two concepts at the beginnings, and thought that there are the same thing. but after a while I found that Coins have their own blockchain but tokens run inside coin's blockchain.

I think a informative question always helpful for the users – Coins are any cryptocurrency that has a standalone independant blockchain. On the other hnad Tokens are cryptocurrencies that do not have their own blockchain but live on another blockchain.

Thank you for this information I never knew they are different I thought all of them are samething. Crytocurrnecy is the best coins or token whix one is correct about  that. Like bitcoin can we also call it a token

Coin is a project which have its own administration and blockchain. While a token is backed by any other administration and it operates through blockchain of any other coin.

Actually i have no knowledge on this before but i now can differentiate between the two now that talk token is been given for reaction and coin is been earned for our daily posts. Tokens are based on something while coins have their fundamental base. you can buy a token with a coin but not coin with a token. coins are use for the selling and buying while tokens needs to be converted in to coins to use them....

In short we can't directly sale the token via any exchange site we have to change it in coin but we can sale directly any coin.

Coin is basically a crypto asset that has its own blockchain, you can also call a crypto coin or native token for example bitcoin .. but on the other hand token is opposite , it runs on a another blockchain for example like ERC 20 tokens .

You explain it perfectly. It's true coins are using it's own chain but tokens are using those coins chains. That's why every succesful tokens want to create their own chain. Some of them can make that happend some of them can't. If they can create their own chain it'll effect the price affirmatively.

Coins are just method of payment while tokens may present a company's share, give access to product or service and perform many other functions. Coins are currencies that can be used for buying and selling things. You can buy a token with a coin, but not vice
