I think that PayPal can still be very beneficial for the price of Bitcoin in the coming months. In addition, PayPal is also benefiting, as their shares have increased quite a bit since they integrated btc.
I find the PayPal option interesting for people who don't know much about cryptos and don't want to risk too much of their money. Although personally I wouldn't take it, because it wouldn't be my crypto as such and I wouldn't be able to transfer it quietly.

Is there a way to bypass this restriction? I would think that this is very dangerous as PayPal takes everything too seriously and if they find something they would be very willing to block accounts. I don't suggest doing anything to go against paypal as they have shown in the past they don't play and the money in your account is not actually yours. PayPal is dangerous and I don't use it, use it with caution.

This is a massive number of users buying crypto using paypal. I hope that paypal will allow deposits too and open withdrawals, and secondary perhaps give access to private keys as this is how the system for cryptocurrencies should be used.

If you ask anyone being in crypto for years, nobody would ever use Paypal in the current form to buy or hold his cryptocurrencies. Who knows better paypal or the experienced crypto users?

Bitcoin doesn't need Paypal. In fact I feel that as Bitcoin is getting popular, Paypal will lose some of its customers. This could be the reason for the confusion whether Paypal has accepted and recognized Bitcoin.

Of course everyone in Paypal started buying as soon as it was offered by the company, but then the bad news came, you can't withdraw. And you can't deposit either. Paypal seem to be a negative publicity for Bitcoin now, as those that buy from that platform are not buying Bitcoin, they are not investing in financial freedom but can only trade something that is similar to Bitcoin but not exactly that.

What else would they use the paypal Bitcoin for? It is not allowed to transfer in and out of paypal, and they claim that you can use to purchace, but the system first trades the required amount in fiat, so what is the reason to use paypal. It is a good initiative of PayPal adopting cryptocurrency, it is possible they will make restrictions about how their users use cryptocurrency. But this is the very good first step, then another step leads to another. At the moment the PayPal cryptocurrency service is not for all users around the world, but little by little.

I do not know how the users are using the paypal in order to make the trades and how they are trading on it, as the trading is done on the exchange not on the wallet most of the times.

I haven't heard of Paypal for many months. I was expecting we would read news very often with statistics and amount of Bitcoins bought in Paypal but we read nothing at all. It gives me another reason not to trust Paypal at all especially with all the account bans that I have read about and the scamming with the one way refunds that can't be challenged. I never liked Paypal either as we had to trust someone in the USA to hold our money, and I prefer keeping my crypto in my wallet. But Paypal hasn't even given a total amount of Bitcoins bought. This worries me.
