I think I got scammed! Someone wants me to send crypto to an unknown wallet address. What should I do?

Any website, person or project that asks you to send transfer commissions before receipt can be considered a SCAM rate of 99% and it is preferable not to deal with such matters because the previous experiences of all members and those interested in the Crypto field resulted in the theft of their money.

A positive move is what you've done. All you need to do is ignore these messages, reset your passwords, log out of other computers, increase your security level, and search your system.

I would recommend you not to send any crypto currency to the address that was sent to you because this is definitely a scam because I don't see how the scammer could have access your media files and even if he did, posting the media files will not affect your life in any way so let him go on with it.

There are a lot of warnings about the topic of malicious websites and fake promotions that have a fraudulent background I think you did the right job not storing your important files on your laptop.

Be careful, my friend, and create strong passwords to protect your account
Many people have fallen victim to these fraudsters. You should be careful, my friends, and work to protect your accounts and not trust anyone to avoid these problems.

Yes definitely its a scam. Scams usually occur through email, links etc. If someone wants your personal information, don't think twice just block them. Before doing anything we should justify the fact otherwise we can lose everthing. Scammers are always ready to trap us.

Dear friend, first, I advise you not to believe such people, because no one can know your password unless you give it to it or divulge it to anyone, and you must always keep it out of reach of the Internet and your computer and do not visit any suspicious, unreliable and unknown website with full details so that Be safe from fraudsters

Friend, be very careful because this is often done to scam people who invest in new or unknown projects, it is best to avoid it if you do not know much about it, because normally in what you are doing they do not ask for wallets or deposit addresses.

probably one of the websites which you had an account got hacked and your password is taken from that site. you can always report this kind of activity to cyber-police in your country. most of the time they are anonymous but with some luck they can track them down.

I also received an email with my password (not exactly correct) in the subject line. He claimed that he knows everything about me and threatened to share all my photos and embarrassing secrets ( wonder which embarrassing secret?) to all in my contact list.

I ignored it. He repeated his threat several times. I ignored it completely. I then deleted the email. Then he gave up.

Some days ago, I received an E-mail in which someone had threatened me to publish my personal media files in social media groups. The title of the E-mail was my desktop password. This scammer told me that he now knows my password and has access to my computer and all my personal pictures and videos. Fortunately, I don't store my personal info on my PC and use an external hard drive for this kind of information. The E-mail contains a bitcoin wallet address and the scammer has asked me to send $500 worth of bitcoin to his wallet to forget about revealing my personal info on the web. I changed my password immediately after reading this E-mail and switched to normal user from admin to block everyone's access to the vital program files in my PC. I have never received such an E-mail before and I don't know how this scammer has managed to find my password. Maybe I visited a website that contained malware. My antivirus and anti-malware are always on. Anyway, what do you recommend me to do at this moment?

When someone like this told you that's he having your computer password and other access, even if he really having your access to log in, you don't have to panic and sending money to him, but just calm down and then change your all passwords.

I do not know how to tackle this kind of the situation and I would want to know how to do it and how to make the people stop scamming you when you do not know most of the things online.

My friend, it is very normal to send money to an unknown address. In general, the public key to send to the wallet is a fully encrypted address and a very large one, and most importantly, it may not be a fraudulent fraud unless you do not have an agreement with him or the sending thank you

Unfortunately, the advantages of cryptocurrencies have been used in negative and illegal ways because the cryptocurrencies are secret and the fraudster cannot be tracked, so that a computer virus called ransomware has spread, encrypting your files and demanding you to pay in cryptocurrencies.

I advise you first to change your passwords and avoid entering fake websites and not giving your private keys to anyone. It is a bad thing that such things happen because losing money after effort and exhaustion is annoying, so always try to pay attention to what you do.

What you have just experienced are warning signs to avoid falling into one of these blackmails, for no one is a secret that malicious activity on the internet has increased In any case, you should avoid providing personal data on any social network, also install a good antivirus will protect you from being a victim of evil people.

You should pay close attention not to download files from unofficial sites, not to enter unknown sites, and always use an anti-virus program, in this way your data and personal files will be safe.

My friend, that is why I advise not to save our important information and passwords on the Internet, but rather I save them on a paper notebook I keep in my room and I do not respond to people I do not race, nor do I record my data in sites that I do not know of their safety.

Spammers should never be responded to.  Outsiders are often fraudsters so they should never be answered.  The internet world is full of dangers, so be careful.  I advise everyone not to store important personal information on their mobile devices.  Do not give passwords to anyone, whatever the reason.
