Lots of Thread/Topic Necromancers lately

Recommended Posts

At a certain stage, when you gain appropriate experience, everyone must share topics that are of their own creation
But some people tend to respond to old topics as a kind of shortening time and gaining knowledge, and I have not read a rule that prevents such behavior as long as the response is useful.

Certainly the necromancy of threads is something that is latent in all the forums that have existed, and sometimes it is something harmful to these, since they do not allow the evolution of new publications

From day 1 I saw it, and so far remains the same, that usually happens when people only mount a post to do so, without seeing what is published and sub-published, that will continue to happen until you get to feed more user base and content in the sections in general.

Thank you for this new term. Even now people do resort to writing contents that are old and outdated. so it is necessary that the uses check whether the topic are old before posting new topics. There's high need for more information from the users so that even old users can benefit from it regarding yobit and cryptotalk platform.

Thank you for bringing up this topic. It has caught my attention many times. Old topics are repeated
I do not know the reason for their doing this, which is an attempt to deceive Crypto, so you must verify the source of the information before publishing it to members

I also agree with you on this. This term is new to me. I hope I am not spamming here because I came to this topic to know more about this term. This is a really new concept for me. So I hope it would be ok if I comment on topic that are unknown to me. But I am strongly against commenting on those post that are similar and repetitive in nature. I hope I would come across more such content that provide informative post.

Yes my friend I agree with you . Your content is great . I really think that information must be valid at all time and edited if there's some changes according to current scenarios. This forum needs topics that actually contribute to the cryptocurrency world.

I suggest that once a topic is older than 6 months (this is from another forum) that they have a warning for those trying to post there that they're trying to post on an old topic

Well, this forum has always been lax about that rule. A mod has even said something about that, you can read about it on this link. Basically, as long as an old topic is still relevant, a member can necro it as long as he adds something new to the discussion.

And after what happened in October this year with all the flood of spam topic contents going on, members commenting on older topics was a safer choice for their posts not to get deleted. That is one of those times commenting on old topics is actually useful.

It will be a much better forum if all of us as members on this forum just have a discussion under each topic rather than giving just one reply to a topic and leaving it forever as this will expand into topics and give answers regarding all aspects on that topic.

I believe that the reason for spam is very common, and of course, it requires controls, and some blocking. Because, I often noticed that people think that if they spam on the forum, or copy-paste, then no one will see it! And this is a big mistake. Therefore, I think it would be cool if when creating posts, the system would tell you that such a theme already exists!

It is good to revitalize this idea as there are a lot of old topics in the departments of coding, trading and mining, especially important for beginners to have enough concepts, and therefore if we revive these posts we will open the doors of discussion among members again.

even the topic is not relative now and it can not make you give a lot of things to work on still you can make it easy after making the topic worth dicussing and puting your efforts in that.

This majority resort to this in order to gain in quick and non tired manner and which is really bad. So the best way to remove them would be to report their posts .

I have been observing this also their are many members who posted again on old threads. The are old users but looks like they haven't realise this act. But it would be good if they find question related to the topic in the thread and answer them. This will be good for thread and make useful. Because the correct one answers are delivered long time a long a go at thread and fill the thread will ambiguous comments gonna lead to permanent close. So make yourself useful toward forum and be constructive in posts. This will be a good for you also. Because we have to share information and experience in posts to have reward in return.

Thank you for introducing this word to me. I really didn't know what Thread Necromancy is. You described it in most simplest way. That's why I love this forum, keep making posts just like this.

I was not familiar with the term "Thread Necromancy" until I read your post which is from 2019, so it is not totally a bad idea to comment on some topics that are relatively old when we find it useful or informative. Yet I agree with you that commenting on some posts is like defining water over and over a gain and the definition will still be the same , for example the other day a post asked about how to use Yobit invest box and there were hundreds of replies all of them repeating the same information over and over , I some times feel that it is like memorizing something to make sure that you know it well.

Your quite right about that as because there are alot of things that aren't supposed to make sense anymore or even if it does its not effective anymore one way or another and it although there might be some affective old posts there are only few of them anymore.

For the second notice, it's the same reason, users does not want to reply to new topics they way to see if topic will be deleted or not and then only then they could join in the discussion.

I have seen one of the users complaining his/her topics been deleted and he claims that they were good topics.

I'm not here to criticize the officials work, I'm one of the users who wishes

Nobody understands this more than you have explained and you really spoke what was in my mind but to avoid post getting deleted some users will check the date of each post and find older post before commenting, I mean post that has survived upto months on the Forum, that's a way for them to avoid deletion of posts

Yes, Rafiq, this was what was going on in my mind that there are many topics that are still subject to comment, but I can tell you that I sometimes search for these topics because I felt that they were useful and more information. Let's be realistic that the new topics are nothing but repeated questions or ideas that were raised  Previously.
