I would say that while actually looking for a coin in CoinMarketCap, scandalous coins and counterfeits are also listed in CoinMarketCap.  They do not look at the basics at once and do not persevere before listing the currencies in their index.

I agree with you, if you want to find a fake coin or have a cheap price, you can go to Coinmarketcap. But rather than getting confused it is better to invest in well-known coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum, because you are safer.
