The only PTC i know of that can be worth it is only profitable if you have a large audience to click your links. Sites like Mellowads and link2bucks offer payments for redirects/captchas on links, roughly 1-2c per click. But it ads up if you have larger audience.

I have not used directly in btc but I have done it in platforms that offer other types of alt coins that you can withdraw later, even one of them pays you instantly in Zcash directly to your wallet where you can accumulate it or simply exchange it for btc if so you prefer.

ptc and faucets are the same when it comes to paying and their withdraw limit are like 5$ or $10 and you imagine it's not that much i can get there but when you actually do the tasks you end up with 0.2-0.3$ or even less per day. so it takes months to receive your money and it's total waste of time. it would be better to do captchas or surveys or even microworkers or literally anything to earn money rather than ptc or faucets.

It is legitimate, the PTCs are a way to promote or publicize the web pages, maybe some are to scam but most of them are legitimate. Some people like to earn satoshis and that's why they do it.
