Cryptocurrencies only help people who are involved in it, its doesn't help country as a whole. The reason why some countries dont want to accept cryptocurrencies is that its can't be regulated or controlled by the government or to generate tax from it.

As we all know by now, Iran central bank started to collect bitcoins for it's treasury and announced that it will be making their international trades with bitcoin. This is an interesting development indeed.
